RE: *Official* Caldera 10E Video, Picture And Discussion Thread
Seeing all those holes in the chassis reminded me. Does anyone have any recommendations for a stick on liner to put on the bottom of the chassis to make everything nice and smooth and to cover the holes? I remember a product in the 90's to make the gold pans look pretty, last longer, and be super slick but I can't remember it now. Killer job PetRock! hope you don't twist the wheels off

Has anyone tried the Proline Dirt Hawg series or tires yet? They look promising and i have a pair on the way for my RC10 that I sometimes take to the track but mostly bash around the house.

RE: *Official* Caldera 10E Video, Picture And Discussion Thread
Ok xmod3563 it looks like the tires in question are from a 4x4 stampede. I've looked at the new tires on the Caldera and am not too impressed. Check out: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-LIGHTLY-USED-TRAXXAS-STAMPEDE-4X4-WHEELS-TIRES-2-8-TALON-12MM-TRA-3669A-1-10-/130672394997?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e6cae82f5 and compare the tread. Yeah PetRock the ESC was a shameless pull from UltimateRC but it really looks promising. When I had the Caldera in my hands the stock elec. systems and tires were a little dissapointing but it'll do for less than 200. The Caldera 10e platform is being picked up for the local school districts vehicle of choice for the RC Car Club. More food for thought and I need more reasearch...and cash.

Returning to hobby and undecided
I'm returning to the hobby after about a 15 year absence and I am looking for a basher and sometimes track star. I am going to moth ball my 1992 RC10 for good after i replace all the brittle and broken nylon parts. My 10y/o son has a new brushed stadium truck and I am looking for something to run with myself. The brushless tornado origionally caught my eye but now I'm looking at one of he flavors of the Caldera 10e. I like the look of the SCT but that class is way too popular around here. I contacted my local Redcat ( www.racewayhobbiez.com ) dealer and he suggested the Caldera XB 10e. They plan on opening a track this summer and having a Redcat specific class. Just looking for some opinions. I saw the review on the exceed infinitive and was wondering if the Caldera suffered from the same suspension binding issue. Thanks Dave
