RE: KMP Cessna Skymaster
Yo man, congrats with your maiden. As we allready knew it`s a great flying and nice sounding plane. Mine still needs to be repaired but I`m now finishing my Avond F-15 2nd turbine model and when that`s finished the Skymaster will be on the repairng board again. It must fly on some meetings in 2010. I`ll keep you guys updated when I start repairing. Greetz, Berto.

RE: Show us your Eagle!!
Here my Avonds F15C Eagle. Picked it up 1,5 week ago, the plane is 3rd hand but never has flown [:)] The 1st pilot builded the plane and painted it, the 2nd one installed the servo`s and purchased the retracts but never installed it, the 3rd person didn`t do anything about it but had it stand as a scale model in his living room with the intention to add a scale paint and use it as decoration. And now it`s mine and it will fly [:D] In the last 1,5 weeks, I`ve installed the retracts, routed all pneumatic tubing and servo wires, made a tray for the gear / brake and and future airbrake servo + fitted my Jetcat p80 (hope it will be a P120 next year). Next project is installing the 2 maintanks and hoppertank + tube routing, then the radiotray with all it`s components. Hope to fly my second turbine jet somewhere at the end of September beginning October. Greetz, Berto.

RE: What do you think of FORMOST 150 ?
My Formost is gone [:o] And not what you guys thinks first, nope, I`ve sold this fine turbine trainer for a nice price without engine and moving on. My new turbine plane is allready picked up and that`s a Philip Avonds F-15C Eagle [:D] It`s a 3rd hands plane but haven`t flown one meter, the first guy builded the plane, the second bought the retracts, the third had it as a scale model in his living room. Now it`s the time to fly with it. I`m thinking that the F-15 will be ready in about 4 weeks, we will see. Good luck Formost flyers and keep it safe. Greetz, Berto.

RE: What do you think of FORMOST 150 ?
Here a video of last wednesday, watch my LH flap that isn`t working during all landing althought I selected full flaps I didn`t noticed it till the 2nd flight: Modified Formost on-board cams En here the 2nd fligth: Modified Formost I think I saved my plane because I now use Jeti Duplex 2,4GHz. During the second flight I got a "beep" warning on my transmitter that my reciever battery is low (Jeti uses telemetri). Directly aftre that I landed the plane to found out that my LH flap was stuck and drained a lot from the reciver battery. On 35mHz I maybe could have lost the plane due to this.

RE: Byron Originals Mig 15 Help!
Hye there (or here ;-) ), Can`t give you any info on retarcts for the Byron Mig 15, but I`m following this thread so I maybe can convert mine in the future. Yes, I`ve also a Byron Mig 15, bought it this year as possible 3rd yet (second now the Avonds Rafale will be 3rd). But I`m converting this plane to turbine instead of ducted fan. I`m trying to find info on this kit but there`s not much to find so any info I can get my hands on is welcome. Here also some pics of my Mig 15

RE: What do you think of FORMOST 150 ?
Yesterday flown my Formost on Jeti Duplex 2,4GHz for the first time. First range test with the R14 was to install it in a Big Lift en fly almost out of sight, that test was ok [:D] Then the R14 went in my Formost en a made 2 uneventfull flights, so no more 35mHz for the jet anymore.

RE: What do you think of FORMOST 150 ?
I hardly can beleive it. A few guys here in the Netherlands recieved a new Formost last week. And that was the same as the first version, including alu wing spar and no reinforced wings. So tell your friend to take a good look at this thread and modify the Formost so it will be turbine proof. Good luck.

RE: What do you think of FORMOST 150 ?
Last week flown again one time with the jet. Just one time because I misjugded the landing and my old P80 took to long to spool up and so I came 1 mtr short. But the nice thing about this is that it is captured with a onboard cam the FCO 2. And so here the video: [link=http://www.bosmodelair.nl/video/2009/jet6.wmv]Formost jet with FCO2 with crash landing[/link] The damaged was minimum only a bend and broken loose nose gear but that is fixed again. I`m also converting this plane to 2,4GHz with the Jeti Duplex 2,4 system with a R14 reciever in the aircraft. Coming weekend Jets Over Pampa where I`m planning to go to on saturday [:D]

RE: How to make a $120 ARF priceless...
Hye edh13,
master re-builder
That`s way to much credit, I`m just a nice flyer/builder who likes building to much and the cheapest way is mainly to repair old planes and make them fly agian.
maybe a little more surprised, to hear the Decathlon is still flying.
As long it isn`t a total write off I`m affraid that I will repair it again. It`s a to nice looking aircraft for just laying around, we just have a lot fun with it [:D]
Nice landing!
Thanks.
I'm not only jealous of your building skills but also your command of a second language.
Don`t be jealous yuo also can do it and the second language is mostly the fact that I`m working as an airplane engineer and al the manual are in english so I have to [;)]
The Calmato vids give a new meaning to the term "water rudder".
Yep, and the crashes ar spectacular. Here our Calmato Sport when it went wrong: http://www.bosmodelair.nl/video/2008/sportcrash.wmv And below some picture from the last Calmato Sport try. Grtz, Berto.

RE: How to make a $120 ARF priceless...
Hye planebuilder66, One thing is for sure, this jigsaw puzzle is heavier than when it came out of the box [:D]
he's doinked it so bad that the saito needed an overhaul.
And this is also for sure. This engine has run for more then 30 hrs in total (I even think over 40) on different airplanes. Even on a Calmato waterplane and due to several watercrashes [:)] the engine will have a little of corrosion inside. But as long it`s working we will fly with it [8D] Here the watercrashes: http://www.bosmodelair.nl/video/2007/calmatoinvertedwatercrash.wmv http://www.bosmodelair.nl/video/2007/calmatoinvertedwater.wmv Greetz, Berto.
