RE: Help designg sub-(Engineering Project)
Thanks would do you think the fins should be made out of as well as the WTC? Also for speed do you think it would better to use one small propeller in the bank, once that revs high or something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUPwtJSMkLM and how would one go about making the one in the youtube link? thanks again

RE: Help designg sub-(Engineering Project)
I already turned in my abstract so I have to stay with the submarine idea. Also the boat would have to make a go around a circular fountian while the sub just has t go in a straight line. Any suggestions on how to build the sub?..So far I have thought of a combination of dc motors and pvc piping but not to sure on how to put it together or what voltage to use.

Help designg sub-(Engineering Project)
I am a student and I have to design a boat/submarine for our engineering project, the only restrictions is that it has to be 3 inches or more in diameter and cannot use radio frequencies, the total cost cannot exceed 80 dollars. I know little very little about submarine design and I was wondering if someone was able to offer ideas or suggestions on how to build and suggestions for the choice for a motor, voltage, and the material to build the exterior and how to prevent water from entering. The sub only has to travel in a straight path for about 40 feet, speed is an issue the faster it goes the better we are graded. Thanks
