I’m looking into whether or not there is a part number for this item and if it can be purchased separately.

RE: Hitec.....Never again
Your receiver and module setup was tested over a period of several days and by several of us techs to make sure it was functioning properly. I dont know what caused you to crash, all I can do is check the equipment to see if it performs how it's supposed to which it did. The only issue we found was listed on the service order. If you read Mikes post on range testing the new 2.4 receivers in powerdown mode, your "crashed" receiver was one we used in that test. As what was stated, we got 1/4 mile in power down mode.
ORIGINAL: rctom
ORIGINAL: MikeAndersonCA Here's a charge jack follow up for Mike Mayberry: Just what are Hitec engineers trying to accomplish or prevent with the diode setup in the charge-jack circuit?
The transmitter has support for using a 2s lipo built into its programming. I suspect the diode is there to make sure you have to remove the battery from the radio before charging. I had a customer call yesterday looking to replace a plane that had burned up from a Lipo fire. If that happened inside a transmitter it would make a giant mess, would destroy the transmitter and possibly burn down one or more structures. For any manufacturer better safe than found negligent. Is it really that hard to pull the battery out to charge it? TF
Ding ding ding! We have a winner. [:D] It is there to help protect the transmitter/circuitry from having a battery over charged by a peak charger that fails to shut off. From a service stand point I have seen quite a few "melt downs" come across my bench because of this and the diode had been jumped in the radio. Granted, damage to the radio can still happen even with out it jumped but the severity of the damage has been way less and usually those radios can be fixed back up with out too much hassle. So in short, it's there to protect you and it's there to protect us. [8D]

RE: Aurora 9 radio
The transmitters are all the same. There is no difference between the ones sold here and the ones sold in your area. The Eclipse wall charger will not work with the A9. The chargers are completly different not to mention those two radios use different voltage batteries and different plugs for the charging port.

To my knowledge yes it should work that way. The frequencies are all with in the module so it tells the transmitter what frequencies are available.

The first batch of radios have already shipped and customers were receiving them last week. Depending on where you are on Towers back order list you may be in their 2nd or 3rd batch of shipments. You should check with Tower to see where you are on their list.

All I have to figure out now is why my Eclipse won't work. Its on PPM now I need to cherck the negative shift thing and then lets see. I'll keep you posted in case that doesn't work, many thanks again,. Phil
If it's set to PPM then it should work no matter if it is set for + or - shift. It may simply be that you need to do the binding process a couple times to get a proper bind.

RE: Hitec Eclipse 7 toast
15.5 volts displayed indicates that the battery polarity has been reversed somehow. You can drop off the radio at our facility for repair. The main board is going to have to be replaced in the Tx. Cost for this is somewhere around $55.

RE: HS-5625 / HS-5645 signalinput voltage requirements?
Plug them in to the receiver and see if you get a hesitation in movement when you are moving them back and forth. If all looks fine , then you are good to go. If there is a issue then send them in and we should be able to change a resistor.

RE: Individual Servo Gears....??
The MP gear is the first gear off the motor pinion. It's a hybred gear that is either nylon with a steel pinion pressed in it or is the Karbonite spur gear with a steel pinion pressed in to it. It does not sound like this is the gear you need though.

Only the first gear (MP gear) for these servos are sold individually. If this is not the gear you need to replace, then you would need the gear set.

RE: Hangar 9 Spitfire 60 recommends JR servos - Looking for Hi-tec alternative
The JRPS537 is just their basic standard run of the mill servo. A comparable Hitec would be HS-422. A step up would be the HS-485HB or HS-5485HB for the digital version. For a retract servo, we have the HS-75BB.

RE: Servos buzzing
New servos can do this until they break in a bit. Usually this buzzing is caused by the case being a little on the tight side so what you can do to stop it is to loosen the 4 case screws on the bottom of the servo about a 1/4 turn.

The LAND function is what controls the ailerons to work as a flap. The FLPN mix just allows you to use 2 channels for ailerons.

RE: 5945 gear replacement
That o-ring with the gear set goes on top of the output gear and sits on top of the bearing to help seal the bearing to the case top. Your old servo should have also had this but may be stuck to the top case.

RE: Programming 7955 TG servos with a HFP-10?
You can try programming it with the HFP-10 but the drawback I see you having is that to get an extended servo travel that servo will have to be taken out of the high resolution mode which only the 20 has in its programming. So if you don't need to program the servo with 3D throws, the HFP-10 should work.
