RE: Would a business that helped you buy and sell your r/c car be beneifical to you?
I am interested in a new idea like on-line r/c repair, where you send your r/c away to get fixed and then have it shipped back to you, i think it could help all of those RTR buyers, what do you guys think? Maybe even do the buying and selling for the customer>

Another question would be, would an online business that helped you fix your r/c car or truck be beneficial to you?

RE: WHICH TRUCK IS BEST FOR DRAG RACING
ORIGINAL: jude26 This should answer your questions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schumacher_Menace
Well although schumacher doesn't make the XTR3E anymore the XTR3E is faster then the Menace, its actually to fast.. seriously, schumacher had to make a 4wd version in-order for people to be able to drive it. I have seen numerous videos with stock xtr's and they will flip right on there lids as soon as you hit the throttle. Even at speeds of 50 mph and you punch it, they will flip over backwards. My menace was by far the most powerful r/c i have ever seen in terms of shear speed and destruction to tires, i could only imagine what 2wd would be like.

RE: expensive mistake
I had a menace and honestly if i your looking for a 4x4 that will be in the dirt more then the street i wouldn't get a menace, the truck seemed like it wanted to be driven more on road then off. Mine would always seem like it was more fun to drive on the street. If you wanted a true off-road truck i would look at other options, a monster truck would be a good idea, and there are a lot of nice hop-up'd ones in the ads section of this website.

RE: New Nitro Rustler!
Agreed the nitro rustler is trash for almost $300. The r/c 10gt shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence with a 10 year old truck. Traxxas is just beating a dead horse.

NEW-TO-RC i would get a XTM X-Cellerator its faster (50 +mph) then the firestorm and its cheaper and just as capable of a racer. You can find them brand new for $200.

I would get the XTM X-Cellerator its fast 50 + mph and its cheap, some places have it for $200 RTR and its got a much more capable suspension then the st-15.

Budget "JATO KILLER" drag truck
To say i am on a budget is being a little generous. I have had 5 r/c car's over the course of eight years ranging from an electric rustler to a nitro hawk to a xxx-nt sport and a xxx-nt adam drake to a schumacher menace. Now i have either sold them or they are in so many parts there is no reason to put them back together, actually it would probably cost more to put them back together than it would just to buy a whole new truck. Now i have a new mission, i thought i was out of r/c but my friend keeps pulling me back, and i am on the lookout for low budget project truck that is going to fly, my goal is 80mph. I know at that speed its pretty much pointless to even buy a truck, but i like the fact that i could change the gearing and be able to take it off road. What would be a good platform to start my project off of? I was thinking an old nitro rustler chassis or maybe a rc/10gt but i am not sure. One thing i am sure of is to reach those speeds it needs to be a single speed with very tall gearing and i need a strong enough engine to get it to pull. So what do you think?

RE: Offical Schumacher Menace .21 Thread v1.0
Well i finally parted ways with my schumacher menace .21, i had it for a little longer then 3 months. I really enjoyed the truck but, right now i am at a point in my life where i had to sell those things, i wont have time for in college and unfortunately the menace was the first casuality. The times i spent with that truck i will never forget. the first time i had it out and gunned the throttle and every tire spun, it brought a huge smile to my face. Also the 4wd cyclone doughnuts that caused the truck to actually roll on its top were something to been seen, and experienced. Let alone the sick top speed, and that awesome sound of it shifting all the way to third. Never before in the 8 previous years of owning and operating r/c cars was there anything quite like the menace for me. It was something so over the top, and so packed with power that a r/c car this fast should be against the law. Well i don't know about that... but, I will still be on this forum to provide any input i can about the r/c car and i still have the pictures of my car up in my profile. Thanks everybody for there help and advice the entire time i had my truck.

RE: Traxxas Forums a JOKE!!!
ORIGINAL: DaveG55 Ya know Brent, You have the right to never buy a Traxxas product again and the right to never vist their site or even do anything except bad mouth them if you want to stoop to that. But, how would you expect a company owned site to be run. Would you expect them to say "Our stuff breaks all the time and you should immeadiatly replace the motor with "XYZ"? No, you would not and you wouldn't respect anyone that did. You also would not tollarate anyone putting your stuff down or breaking your rules if you paid for a website about something you made. That's not to say that Traxxas could not improve the way their site is managed and moderated and the way their customers are treated on their site. Because I too have been warned about very petty stuff and seen their board very unevenly moderated and enforced. Traxxas Tech you need to impress on your volunteer moderators that most of the people that vist your board have either already spent several hundred dollars on your product or are contemplating doing so. The way your moderators have treated people is the subject of many, many threads just like this one all across the RC internet world. Your board does not have a good reputation. And one last thought. Despite Traxxas problems, both percieved and real, they have at least had the cojenes to have an open fourm. I know of no other manufacturer that does.
Yeah i agree

RE: Traxxas Forums a JOKE!!!
I have had a real problem with traxxas ever since i was kicked out of their forums and i don't even know why i didn't cuss or bash anybody or traxxas, but since that day on i will never buy another traxxas product. I hate those people, and not to bash on people who have one or w/e but i always thought that you know, ok buy a traxxas vehicle if you want to. I did, it was my first r/c car, but i think after that one you should branch out and look into other models, from other companys and you can tell that traxxas cars just seem built for beginners, and are not competitive on a track. At least the level of competition i had to race against no traxxas truck or car was competitive unless it was a revo because thats what everybody had. I figured you know i bought one of these cars the people from the website should at least support me with it but that was not the case.
