RE: need a nitro truggy! :)
This is a little bit over your budget, but i hear the RedCat Shockwave is pretty good. Its a 1/10 scale Buggy. Here is the link: http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/1-10-Scale-Nitro/Shockwave

RE: New guy looking for some advice on the 8ight-T
Don't really know if they would fit (probably dumb ?) but get some Big Bore Shocks. I as well live in Nebraska, and have had a Nitro and now have a Rustler VXL. My cousins Nitro runs well on construction sites and i am hoping to get another one. All that i can think of is the bog bore shocks for now...... Hope this helps. -Jordan

You need to get the ZigZag Racer 2. I had the first one, and thought it was great, i even hit a fish and killed it (sadly)....... Here's the link: http://www.rchobbies.org/zig-zag_review.htm

Thanks, That is a good idea, i will have to put lock-tite and everything in my screws if i buy a rtr anyways. So why not just build a kit when i can custumize it. thanks for the idea

RE: For my next nitro.....!!!!!!!!!!
If you want speed and durability, Then go with the Savage Flux. It's an electric, but IMO, Brushless will soon overcome nitro. they pretty much have with speed already. my Rustler vxl will go 70+ with a good lipo. But lipos are pretty expensive. and i kinda want to get back into the nitro, there is something about the smell and noise. Though i have heard that Savages are TANKS!!!!! The revo should hold up fine. What kinda bashing are you doing? Like super high jumps and rough terrain? if you cant maintain it in the air, savage, if you can, maybe revo......

RE: Best bang for buck 1/10 RTR Truck
Haven't really read a lot of the posts on here, but i need some expert advice..... I currently have a Rustler vxl, with very little driving time on it. Have a couple batteries with it and original box with all the parts it came with. I have had a Nitro, and it didn't hold up for me. It was a RedCat and i know a lot of people like them, but I don't. I am thinking about trading it for a Nitro, but don't know what kind of car would be a good trade. I am mostly looking for a Monster Truck or Truggy. I have looked on the ads and looked on Craigslist. Do you think that i should just sell it for money and save up for a certain car? Or is there a nice truck i could trade that is in used condition? Any feedback is very well appreciated, Thanks.

RE: I need help deciding!!!
ok, so i havent really read the post that much, but i went from wanting a Revo 3.3, to a T-Maxx 3.3, and now to the Savage XL5.9. If i do get the savage, is there any hop-ups that you guys would suggest to get? I'm kinda looking at a pull start, so i dont have to haul the starter when i walk to places to bash. (i'm only 15, and me and my younger cuzon bash together so we have no form of transportation) and i like to walk. So any other suggestions? or is there a weak point in the truck (doubt it, these are beasts)....... All help if greatly appritiated.

RE: MY NEW USED REVO!!!!

RE: MY NEW USED REVO!!!!
I have heard that brushless will take over nitro. I want to beleive it because its almost maintience free for brushless and you dont have to tune it. But from another point of veiw, With nitro, there is something about the sound and smell of the nitro's. And i kind of like to "tinker" (work on) with the settings.

RE: MY NEW USED REVO!!!!
I have been thinking about getting a Revo and i am getting reallyseriouse. I have a Rustler VXL, and like it since it is low maintencebut i hate waiting for batteries to charge. I know that you have totune the nitro (i have had one before) but i think it is worth it witha beastly truck like the Revo. I currently have a Rustler VXL and it isalmost brand new. I have only driven it for like 1-2 hours. I haverepaired a front shock tower after i broke it from jumping. Do you guysthink that it would be a good trade for someone? I want a Revo. I justdon't know if it is a good trade with these 2 trucks. Any responses isgreatly appritiaded. Thanks.

McWolf_101, So you are saying that it is probably better just to build your own r/c kit? Since it will be customized to your likings, and since you pretty much re-do a lot of stuff on rtr's?

Wow! You have a lot. Ya keep an eye out. I was thinking about getting the 4-Tec, but i didnt want to spend all that money when i dont live by a lot of open spaces. I had a redcat tornado bb (nitro) and have had A LOT of probloms with it, have you had any probloms with your RedCat's? I know all cars have probloms but i was working on it more than driving it.

RE: ReCat Delivered Yesterday.... In Repair Today- Not Happy
Jeeze! That seems like a lot of money just for a little toy thing. is that for a real nice one like the cops use, or the hot wheels one? I have seen a velocity one on amazon for around $80. There is NO way i will pay $600 for though. Look for one at like sports authority or dicks, or scheels. they might have one for like baseball pitching. I don't know how else to help you out with that. good luck though. What kind of r/c car do you have?

Yes, I am pretty sure they sell them at walmart and traget even. It would probably be in the kids toys section or something like that. Good luck finding it. I would like to know how well it works and if its accurate

RE: ReCat Delivered Yesterday.... In Repair Today- Not Happy
Thanks for the info about the radar gun. I might look into that. TCA999, My cousin used to have the electric stampede before he switched to nitro. I used to drive it once in a while with him and when he drove it, he WAS NOT easy on the thing. He even jumped his little brother on his knees with out. The only thing he broke was an A-Arm that time. He had once replaced the motor, But I don't think that he had ever had a problem with his gear mesh. Have u looked up any related posts that deal with this problem? Or even Googled it? If not, You might find it helpful.

RE: what to do about my slipper clutch?
Very well said. I think that they should have some steal gears. I have a Rustler vxl, and i want to upgrade to a MMM. I am nervouse that i wont be able to control it as much, and I was afraid i would be stripping gears a lot.

RE: what's wrong with these people
I have not had time to read this whole chat, But if you compare this to real cars, You look how Toyota cars have had a problom. i think that they are great cars and they run for ever. That is only one problem they have had in decades probably. If you look at American cars, Ford has almost gone bankrupt and other American car manufacturers have had problems. So u might have the most expensive car, But its not only about performance. It is also how well you race. There is NO point in throwing away a couple thousand dollars into a car you cant even control or know how to race well.
