RE: ASM LANCASTER 120
Great Paul, We've been waiting this long, I guess a little longer will be OK. Keep going.

RE: Top Flite AT-6 Texan Gold Flight ARF
I have this airplane, and had to replace the wire struts. The replacements were just as bad as the original. Anything except a very gentle touchdown would bend them. I have not flow this airplane in a couple of years because of the less than adequate landing gear.<!EndFragment>

Sounded like two motors to me. One on the ground and the one in the plane, which didn't sound like a DLE55 to me.

RE: Goldwing 50cc Pitts Python V3.
Here's something that will remove CA. I use a small piece of paper towl soaked in Kwik Debonder from Hobby People, then let it soften the CA a little, then wipe with the paper towl untill it is removed. I have used it on cowls, with no damage to the paiint, but to test to see it does not harm the paint. http://www.hobbypeople.net/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=debonder&order=price&dir=desc

RE: SIG 4* 120 balance ?
The OS FS-120 surpass with muffler is 4.4 oz heaver that the DLE 20 with muffler. My kit built SIG Four Star 120 does not require any additional nose weight. Been flying it since June 2005. Did wear out one OS 120 though. <!EndFragment>

The landing struts on the Top Flight AT6 I have from a couple of years ago are junk. Way too soft to make even the best of landings more than a few times.

RE: Pulse 125 - first flights
If the landing gear is angled back, maybe you could just put it on so it is angled forward. You would have to reverse the wheel pants.

RE: ASM B-17G Flying Fortress ARF (120
Speedracer, I assume that is in addition to your battery. I didn't take any pictures just trying to get an idea how much lead I would have to add. All of the weight was in the very front of the nose. Gear down, no fuel etc. Balanced 8" behind leading edge of the wing at the fuselage. Thanks for the reply.<!EndFragment>

RE: ASM B-17G Flying Fortress ARF (120
Is this thread dead? I just got my ASM B17 completed enough to check the C.G. It looks like it is going to require about 5 pounds of weight in the nose. Does anyone who is flying one think this is normal? The manual says it may require up to 3 pounds. CCFPILOT <!EndFragment>

RE: Giant Supersportster Maiden
I would suspect a stripped gear in the throttle servo. If it gets between teeth it stops, then if it moves a little it works normal.

RE: ASM B-17G Flying Fortress ARF (120
<!StartFragment> In my opinion, either one is a waste of time and money, and may even cause problems. The most important thing is to get reliable running engines, such as OS or Saito, and then adjust each one as an individual engine as long as it's running reliable. – even a few hundred rpm difference between engines at full throttle won’t make a difference. RE: Gas engine igntion on receiver battery?
It's not recomended, but it may work. It may cause your radio to have limited range. Most gas planes are large enough to handle a 2200mA battery with no problems. So, even if it will work, don't do it. CCFPilot

The crank needs to line up with the cowl. As long as it fits on the firewall it should be ok.

MX240 Thats why I now make sure that the DOWN position on the retract valve is in the pull position. If the nut comes loose you can still lower the gear, but not retract it.

If you have a "Y" connector for the aileron, make sure one of the connectors is not plugged in backwards. If it is, neither aileron will work.
