RE: HELP!!!!
Does the motor seem to rev up at all? Does it sound crisp or blubbery? Could be a tuning issue. If it revs up but doesn't move very well it could be a warn clutch or slipper. Try tightening the slipper all the way (the little nut on the big plastic gear)

RE: Addendum for the new EVX2 w/LVC
It doesn't say anything about at what voltage it shuts down, if its adjustable, how many cells lipo the LVC will support, does it have auto cell count detection? I have used 5s in my old erevo with the evx2, will this new one be able to recognize 5s or just up to 4s? You sure are leaving lots of unanswered questions Traxxas!

RE: savage flux hp brakes
The brakes are only supposed to stop the truck and cant hold the truck in place on a hill or anything. Be carefull not to set the brakes too high on the ESC or it WILL endo! The noise you are hearing is perfectly normal.

You sent the whole truck in for warranty work? That must have been a fortune to ship and probably took forever to get back. Its probably something simple like a grub screw came loose or something. Im not familiar with that truck so i cant say for sure. Maybe some pics of the underside would help.

I remember when my flux looked all shiny like that.....for about 5 minutes [:D] I pretty much trashed my body the first day. Be sure to lock your slipper down tight! And be sure to loctite the pinion gear grub screw. Also unless you want to go through pinion gears you should convert to a plastic spur gear. Have a blast with it! I know I still do after 2 years!

RE: E Maxx battery tray mods
Its true maxamps will build a pack to directly fit almost anything, and for people that dont like modifying their truck/car to fit other batteries its great. For me and most others I would rather modify a $30 plastic chassis to fit more reasonably priced (and usually better) battery packs. I will admit that I have never purchased anything from maxamps, although I did try to buy some heatshrink from them over the phone that they had listed on their site, and they flat out told me NO. They told me I had to order from the website with my credit card and have it mailed to my house. I live 5 MILES MILES from maxamps mind you. To me that is HORRIBLE customer relations! And after reading downright horrible customer reviews about their batteries, warranty and customer service why would I ever buy a overpriced battery from them? Too bad I couldnt link you to URC's youtube review of the new maxamps 150c packs, but maxamps threw a fit and made youtube take it down. Why you ask? Because the reveiw was not in favor of maxamps. Heres a link to another thread you should read: http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139612

RE: E Maxx battery tray mods
Thats cool you want to support USA companies, however maxamps deserves zero support. They are nothing but crooks, liars, and cheats. And why wouldnt they change manufacturing process to please the customer? Its the least they could do. After all they ARE the most expensive batteries in the world, and almost the poorest quality in the world. Im really not trying to flame you. But you will learn about maxamps eventually. Just ask around, or better yet, read this thread: http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28314

RE: E Maxx battery tray mods
ORIGINAL: crispyspa So I went ahead and bought the Max Amps Please don't bash me for buying the Max Amps....I have my reasons. Customer service is one of them. Austin and the gang at Max Amps watched the video and are changing the way they build the pack for the E-Maxx. They will be putting the wires in the center of the pack to take advantage of the slot at the end of the battery tray to keep the power wires and balance plug further away from dirt and debris. What other company will change assembly methods to cater to a specific group? Customer service. I hope they read this and send me (a) free pack(s). LOL [:)]
Did that order come with a tube of Vaseline? And just an FYI, their customer service is not good.

RE: Savage Flux, to XL or 5T Conversion....that is the question...
Honestly the flux in XL length is awsome! I converted mine with the TCS extended TVPs, XL wide axles, XL wheels, tires and body. It flat out rocks! Much easier to drive than the standard flux. I would not go 1/5th scale with the flux, I hear it is really hard on tranny gears because of the extra weight and the fact that it would hook up more. The tranny gears are pretty weak even for the standard flux. I also heard the HD tranny gears will not last with the 1/5th conversion either. Just something to think about.

RE: NEW!!! Official Traxxas XO-1 1/7 onroad....
ORIGINAL: SyCo_VeNoM
ORIGINAL: Killer RC I think the XO1 is awesome and I'll be buying one soon. I like the radio too. I have been waiting years for a radio that integrates an iPhone/iPod. The possibilities are endless. I hope Futaba follows suit. Plus I own multiple iPhones and iPod Touches. All iPhone's/iPod Touches use the same plug socket, which makes things easy for the radio designer. With android there are hundreds of different phones with different connectors. There isnt one main Android phone that dominates the market, so they'd have to make a radio that links to the phone via Bluetooth or mini USB cable. Anyway, good job Traxxas. This car and radio looks awesome.
Swore micro USB was made standard a few years back on everything but iphones, just the location of the plug isn't standard.
That is true. All phones (at least all android phones) use the micro USB. Since almost all android phones are roughly the same size I dont see why it would be soo hard to do. Traxxas just took the easy way out and only made it iCrap compatible.

RE: Hpi Savage 2350
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT run NIMH in your savage. There will be way too much ripple current using those and it can ruin the ESC. You can a set of lipo batteries and a charger from hobbyking for probably under 100 bucks. Its way cheaper than paying over 200 for a new ESC
ORIGINAL: 378
ORIGINAL: ThunderbirdJunkie But Ford did have it in 1985, so there.
No, they didn't. I've been through their entire lineup in the mid 80s. Fuel injection wasn't even commonplace yet. They hadn't even switched to overhead cam engines fully! Ford didn't have VVT in 1985. It wasn't installed in any of their for-sale models and it wasn't being used in their test mules at the time.
Good grief, calm down. Get back on topic maybe? And just an FYI, but overhead cams are not needed to have VVT, Chevy has it on a pushrod V8.
