You sound like you know how to fly so anything from Balsa USA or Sig would be a good kit. I am currently building the Thomas Morse scout kit from Balsa USA and the fit of the parts is excellent.

I am luck as the local hobby shop does stock a few kits and a ton of hardware at decent prices. Usually a couple buck cheaper than online. For instance I just purchased an AR400 receiver and it was 26 bucks in the store where it is listed at 29 buck online. Why not have a chat with the local places and let them know if they would stock some kits they may be able to boost their buisness by not only selling the kit but everything that goes with it. On another note I had run out of white ultracote on a saturday night so I went to a hobby town because they are open on sundays. They wanted 23 bucks for a roll! needless to say I waited until Monday to pick it up...

Sounds like it is too lean. Have you tried to richen it up a bit and see what happens?

That is fantastic! I can't believe it was painted with a foam brush. I will try that on mine. That engine sure dows sound as nice as it looks. Make sure you get an in flight video.

Very nice! The covering came out superb. What was the problem with the Coverall? I am just getting back into things and building GP Cub and was going to use coverall but is something different about it like they say with monocote?
