RE: GoPro Sports Camera
I haven't put my mine the air yet but I love it, I've been using it on my 4x4 ATV and it works much better than I had expected, actually the photo's are better than my big camera puts out, movies are really good. The camera is really small.

GoPro Sports Camera
Has anyone tried one of these? I just ordered one to use with my ATV, since it has a pic every 3 seconds and video and weighs only: 4.9 oz/139 g I thought I might work great, I have a T-34 25E which should be able to carry it. Does anyone think the Parkzone F4-U can carry it? http://www.goprocamera.com/index.php?area=2&productid=6 I know I will use it without the case of course.

RE: Browser Hanging
Also Dvrcrash there is a ping command which will allow you to see the timeouts but I can't remember exactly what it is but you go to the command prompt and type it in, something like this,,, ping -t yahoo.com also you can do a search called " Sprint timouts " and you will get a lot of info on the subject which is how I found out.

RE: Browser Hanging
No I use T-Moblie, Sprint told us one time that there aircard has a built in timeout feature so we went with Serria 750 from T-Mobile even tho we use Sprint phones. We had been using our Sprint phones but Sprint changed thier data plans so T-Mobile is unlimited for 29.95 a month. Doesn't get the speed you are claiming tho. My wife and I both have computers and 2 aircards, we live in a RV and travel.

RE: Pet Peeves (Don't hold it inside anymore!)
Mine is going to the field and some new guy has a Nexstar and the old guys come to him and say " Hey you better turn off the AFS you can't learn with that." or a flight instructor saying he won't teach you if you don't unhock the AFS. But my biggest is I went to a hobby... to me, " Hell that Nexstar is a piece of crap, by a Avistar " with rubbers holding the wing

RE: NEXSTAR...TO...WAR DUCK !!!!!
Well Wheels if I ever get back to Logansport, In we have to meet, but other than being born there I have only been back there back in the 80's. I didn't get your last post " Winghawg1......I litstened to you about your conversion, but decided to still incorporate the center plastic joiner with the wing screw hole. " I have used the center piece in all of the 3 I have done. Man oh man it sure looks great. Next one I do will be done like Britbats, using the landing gear block instead of the other gear from a ultra stick, to much work to cut out and reenforecing and stuff.

RE: Ultra Stick 120 My first Cover Job
Yelp Red Head you got that right, I don't have many visitors until the plane work starts but that is part of the fun being an Rv'er you know. I will have to redo some of mine but pratice makes perfect. I hope to fly Tuesday, haven't got the engine tuned good enough yet, I am getting anxious to fly this bird of mine that the wing doesn't fit in car real good, good thing a have a Saturn 3door. Well I do use high heat on the iron when doin the edges, don't have the solvent sealer stuff so I hope it works okay.

RE: Ultra Stick 120 My first Cover Job
Yelp, and no, some of it I did, then I used the windex method, thought I mentioned that, maybe not sorry. Yesterday I put the red on the top of the wing using windex.

Ultra Stick 120 My first Cover Job
Well here is first photo's of my first covering job, its got wrinkles but I am learning and staying after it, working on a picnic table in the RV Park. I am about ready to fly in a day or two. Some of it I took covering completely off and some of it I used the windex method, as a first timer I have gotton air bubbles and wrinkles but it has been fun doing it, I am sure later on I'll redo it. The word Ultra is still there, the blue covering I have doesn't match so I need to get some later on. Also I didn't notice the red is a little different too, oh well, live learn and go broke I guess. I haven't done the wing tips yet.

RE: OK Who uses what to clean their planes after a day's flying?
I have been using Wildcat Degreaser for 2 years and really happy with it, does great on grass stains. I also use some stuff called Rv Wax Cleaner in a spray can that is really nice, it cleans oil then it waxes to but a bit pricey too. Besides why clean it, your just gonna get dirty again.

RE: Ordered Ultra Stick 120 Saito 120S
That Bi-Plane is hot, nice job, thanks for the offer, I know a few people in Lawton and haven't been there for years, my wife is a Nurse for the State of Okla so I don't get much car time but I keep you in mind. Do you know Joe Farley, he bought the old crop duster field north of town, can't think of the actual name of the place, nice airport tho, good friend of mine. Oh well time to get the stuff out and try again. Thanks P.S. Ken I forgot to mention the reason I can't just hop over there we are down by Gainesville, Tx, place called Thackerville, Okla.

RE: Ordered Ultra Stick 120 Saito 120S
Well Chad it is like this, we live in a Rv, nearest club is hour away and when I have the car no one is usally around plus waggin all the stuff around, and then I am trying to do this stuff myself since I crash alot and I like learning and doing for myself. I get help at the club, actually two clubs I belong too, I have gotten great help being a club member, clubs are great. There are 4 people fir sure in my club that have really been helpful, The Pres. Dan, Ray, Raymond, Loyd and a few more, great guy's. In Janurary I'll be out in the desert of AZ and if I break it I need to fix it. Jack of all trades and master of none. Then there is RCU, have learned a lot of usefull stuff here and then so not useful stuff, but its fun.

RE: Ordered Ultra Stick 120 Saito 120S
Well my first atempt at covering really sucked, yes I have been reading, listening and I took all day to do flaps, and tail in yellow, then I ran out of yellow, there ain't much on a roll, and then there is the wrinkles, oh good thing there always tomorrow to try again. Wow the Saito 120s seems really huge compared to my Saito FA 56.

RE: Pinning CA Hinges ???
The thread I started about the ultra stick 120 I said was going to use the t-pins pushed into the balsa and then cut them off to make sure the hinges stay, last year I lost my ultra stick 60 cause I screwed up getting enough ca soaked into the hinge and coming in for landing at the far end the rudder came off and plane smacked power pole and the stick fell into hundreds of pieces, so I got my stick 120 and I am starting today on it.

RE: Crash my h9 pizazz... Film and photos
Good english, better than I speak and I was born here, I am so thankful we have the ability to see and talk to folks in other countries, this is so cool. There are times when I used to sit around and wonder what other people in their country did for fun, I mean really all you hear in the news is about people killing or getting killed, I really had no clue that other countries had rc planes until I got on RCU, no I am not stupid you just don't hear about peoples lives except on the news and that is never good. I crossed a web site the otherday that is run by a woman who does photo's and videos of rc airplanes, I believe she is from Brizil, most time our women don't even go out to the field. So this is so cool.

RE: Good, Bad, Or is Jury still out?
Ghezz, when I joined the AMA and a local club or two I was over joyed and looking to having a great time and having fun, I am really surprised at the crap that is going on, I really am dispointed in the system, AMA is wasting way to much money and time and there is way to much bitching and fighting, screw this I will go find an open field and fly. I haven't made any friend son here for sure, everything thing said is put down or sensored or closed. I totaly agree with this next quote. "Umm...how does spending $X in labor to seperate the apparently connected ballots from the notice, and then an additional $55k on postage in an effort to send me TWO documents instead of one translate into 'encourage a higher voting response'?? Someday before I die I pray I'll learn while so many stupid people get control of so much when they can't even think straight. I just don't get it, but am tired of hearing about, GOOD BYE.

RE: HELP tailwheel springs
I put one on the Nexstar Tail dragger I used a push rod instead of the springs since I had little control turning on the ground. Crap wrong pic, can't find the other one, springs I just pulled the spring apart at one end inserted the wire in horn hole and turned in a few times then bent it to stay. Expand the second pic you can see the pushrod I think. Worked well tho.

RE: When Lightning Strikes...
N29BT last year I had the same problem with a Y hook up on flaps for the Ultra Stick 60, above mentioned Y reversing is best and I bought one for my new Ultra Stick 120 but there is another way, I simply turned the servo around, worked fine for me, also tho I only had basic 6 channel radio so before I get proved wrong or something, maybe I should say the that it might not work if youre using a computer radio, but for a basic system it worked for me, simple just turned the servo backwards. Or buy above mentioned Y
