RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*
Hi Ian, That is what I am hearing as well. To the best of my knowledge, I got the last one from my wholesaler last year right after I sold mine. There are a few in private hands that might be looking for new homes but that is about it. A customer of mine who bought one of the last ones that I had, bent his main gear and is now looking for a replacement. If I can see photos of some of the new remakes that are out and about, I might be able to make a new one for him. Keep'em flying!! Joe

RE: RCGF Engines
Hey All, Well here it is the New RCGF 60cc twin!! The photos are not the best but you can get an idea of what it looks like. Some of the important measurements are: Jug top to Jug top is 8.25 inches and prop hub the motor back plate is 5.75 inches. I did a test fit in a 50cc size Gold Wing Raven and it looks like it will fit. I will keep you all posted as we beta test this engine.

RE: RCGF Engines
Hey Big "R", I got Good News and Bad News......... I guess I will go with the Bad News first... I can't get the cases or jug to seal well enough to get the darn thing to draw fuel. All of the decks are warped. The Good News is... I can't get the thing to seal and draw fuel..!! Remember when I told you that you might not recognize it when you got it back? I am going to have to rebuild the bottom end with new cases crank and so on. I hope that you were not in love with that one "BIG" bolt that you were holding the prop on with because it will be gone most likely. I don't think that I can make it work on the new RCGF cases and crank. I will use what I can off your engine. So stay tuned I will get back to you next week end.

RE: RCGF Engines
15x6 will give you 9500 rpm on the ground 16x6 will give you 9000 rpm on the ground 18x8 should give you about 7600 to maybe 8000 on the ground depending on the prop. It is all about whant you want to do with the engine. It is best for the life and performance of the engine to prop it so you don't go much over 9500 rpm unloaded in the air. You can usually count on the engine unloading between 500 to 1000 rpm once it gets in the air again depending on the prop you put on it (i.e. Xoar, Zinger, Master Air screw and so on). I hope this helps some. [8D][:D][;)][8|]

That is what I am thinking too.... It's one of the older "Henry" 45s. I get it apart as soon as it gets here and get it fixed for him.

The Champion plug number is "Y82" but if you can find them they can be a bit pricy.

Ok I guess I need to find the O'Rielly Auto Parts in Tucson because our O'Rielly Auto Parts store has them listed for $7.00 for the NGK and $11.00 for the Champion but they never have them in stock. Unless I order the intire box, I think that is 20 plugs, the store will not order them in.

RE: RCGF Engines
Hi Roger, If it is the real deal it should be a "HLIC". This is the China version of the Walbro. It is even made in the same factory as the China Walbro. I don't have Walbro carbs I do have the HLIC replacements and if you prefer I carry Tillotsons as a replacement. If you want send it to me and I will mess with it for a while to see if I can straighten it out. Your call, Captmicom

RE: RCGF Engines
$30.00 is not a bad deal for the muffler. If you were to replace it with say a Bennett or JTec if you can find one to fit, it would cost the better part of a $50.00 bill. Just my two cents... Captmicom

RE: RCGF Engines
I would use low ash regular oil for the break-in period. After that it will be up to you. If you use Synthetic oil for break-in it will take much longer for your engine to have a good seat. Captmicom
