RE: i know i am gonna sound like a total noob
for electrics and small planes like a foam 3d or a wing I catch them for landings. Wing I aim it towards me cut engine slow it way down and just catch it like a baseball. Search for wing warrior videos you can see a few people doing that. For a 3d which is hard is hover it and snatch in out of the air. ONLY do it if comfortable and stable and hovering it.

Gasser Setup Video
Gary Travis from Bergen has just released a Gasser Setup video. I personally used it and it has helped my setup a lot. It includes servo and linkage setup, pitch curve setup, throttle curve set up, governors, cg setup, tail setup, needle settings, and tunning. It helped my gasser run much smoother, tail servo cooled down a lot, saved on battery power. In the video, an Intrepid Gas Standard & EB is used. Both have a standard puh 26. It comes on DVD format and is about 45 minutes long. Contact Gary at armedinstitute@aol.com. Those who are having difficulties with their gassers, this video helps a lot.

I have tightened the slipper already. What is FOC? I have the stock 2.5 one. Where can you get a 74 tooth spur gear. Traxxas on sells 72. What other brand would have them.

Lowering Gear Ratio, Faster Accel.
What should I do to lower my gear ratio in my t-maxx. I had it tuned to the max, back shocks stiffened up and still would not wheelie. I would like to lower the gear ratio since I don't really need to go 40mph with it. Should I change the main spur gear, or change the tranny gears?

RE: T-Maxx in snow!!!
i looked up your thread of your mamoth. THat is not a lot of snow. I was driving in 3 or 4 inches of light utah powder. It was about 34 or 35 degrees out side so that could have made the difference. The TRX 2.5 runs hot so it had no problem but I like your air filter idea. I think I should make a one foot long 360 degree facing snorkel of some sort. I some sort of de-icing would be nice.

T-Maxx in snow!!!
I just got finished driving my T-Maxx in snow. IT was awsome!!! It was like in the movies and commercials. We got some video of it but I will have to ask my friend for the tape. It really is not hard for clean up. Just get and air compresser blow it dry and then oil everything basically. The one problem we has was the air filter was being choked by the snow and could not get to fulll rpm. Shake the truck a little and fixed. I might make a snorkel or something for it, or use a 360 degree filter. I will try and post video and pics soon. Try it your selfs. IT IS GREAT. Just clean up write after.

Do you think the JR Z650M would be better? It has more torque, faster for 20 bucks less and .10oz more? Go to http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByCategory/Product/Default.aspx?ProdID=JRPSZ650 to see specs.

Bergen Interpid Gas
I am thinking of getting an Intrepid Gas Heli. I would like to know how many servos need, how much torque, size of battery, and anything you can think of. I currently have the JR Xp 662. It is supposed to be able to fly helis. Would this radio work? Would it be cheaper and better to start out with a new one. I have to stock servos and receiver with the 662 already used so those are not an option. Thanks.

Professional Quality Photos.
I am wondering what you guys are using that do it for a job. I was thinking of a digital camera and have a video downlink to know when to shoot pictures. I was thinking of doing it on a heli and having a seperate radio for pan and tilt. What I really want to know is how many megapixels, special lenses, prices, size, weight, downlink systems, point and shoot cameras or optional lense cameras etc. Thanks

What engines are you running in them. I have flown my friends eraider with a brushless set up. It was a lot easyer then my glow plane.

E-Raider (48") or E-Zipper (36")
I am a flyer with a a few years expericance. Which won would be a better fit for me, or give you opinion on what you would get. I would like it to be able to glide fairly well and still have a lot of speed and maneaverablility. I have narrowed it down to these two. IF you could what would be a good brushless engine for either of these. Would it also be possible to put in a smaller battery and talk off the engine and slope glide with it?
