Well i have the lighting the 1/10th on road car and mine running stock on 20% nitro tuned hits 48 on the radar gun. im very happy with it but i ran it into a curb chassis is bent up and front steering arms broke dogbones bent so i think i need to order new parts. btw where are the aluminium parts the lady at redcat said they would be a vailable end of feb. but i dunno. i live in arizona like 30 min away from the wharehouse

Suspension Help
I have the redcat lighting it says adjustable oil filled shocks how do i adjust them. is it just the mountin position or is there a way to adjust the spring tension? pls help

Redcat Onroad With Buggy wheels
If i put buggy wheels on my onroad redcat lighting would i then be able to run in off road and jump it ? my ideal place is a flat dirt location and moderate jumps 10-25 degree jumps. what do you guys think as this is my first nitro car. (im wishin i got the tornado now! )

so the teeth look totally chewed? the reason i ask is cause i ran my redcat took a little slam and it push the engine off a little and shaved down the first gear but i just set it back on track lined the gears on the enignie gear a lil oil torqued the screws down under the motor mounts and has drove go ever sense i run it pretty hard to.

I have took apart my redcat lighting vx you have to find the sweet spot. just tighten till it can wiggle like 1/16th of a inch also when you have it in its loose spot pull back on the arm and see if it tightens up well

I know this is the truck thread but i thought i would share this with you guys. well i went out into my parking lot to run my lighting vx and i ran about 6 tanks jump the curb into a nice grassy/dirt field area last jump i went pretty fast and my lighting bottom out and sent it flyin about 5 feet high and tumbling too only broke the steering arm good thing i already ordered a new set lol :). im gonna convert my lighting to a buggy cool huh just thought id share

I was wondering if there it is possible to put off road tires on the lighting vx maybe tires from the tornado?? i want to convert it to like a rally kinda off road car. i would like to run it on flat dirt with like 10-20 degree jumps

Hey thank you, i was wondering what that was i didnt want to mess with it cause there was no instruction on it included in the box so i thought i would keep it default but man what a differance i think ill be able to run a course now. good looking out bro!

I bought a lighting vx and i love it i cant wait for the hop ups jenni from redcat racing said aluminium parts should be available by the end of feb. so i look foward to it another thing does anyone know how to get better turn radius on the lighting maybe a step by step instruction on how to do it?
