RE: RE:
Hello wittmanm 30 cc would fly this the 310 with authority, I have 25cc Converted Homelite Bandits on mine. I am redesigning the Mufflers now to inprove the exhaust exit. I have a little too much back pressure which limits the RPM's once that is done she will fly a lot better. Don't have any 30cc motors a couple of quadra 42's in other planes , but there are a couple at our field and they run great. Fuel wise I have my tanks right behind the motors mounted sideways and they are 18oz each more then enough Fuel with reserve for a 10 to 15 minute Flight. Keep us informed of your progress. Cliff

RE: RE:
Amish Actually it was very Hot and humid, So motors were not pulling full rpm's I had to pull it up to avoid the tree line, but looking at the video I had more room then I though. I might up the motor to G38"s for more power. This weigh's in at 32Lbs Fuel tanks are foward of the CG right behind the motors. And yes the Cg is close a tad nose down when balanced. Cliff

RE: RE:
Well it finally happened, I maidened the 310 tonight. We have our annual Open House this Sat and any demo flights, the Plane must have flown previous. So out I went tonight What a sight and Sound it was fantastic. Required 2 clicks of up trim nothing else. What a relief it is done. I know it has taken a while since I posted it was ready, but had some family matters to deal with and had been stressed out. So doing a maiden was not a good idea at the time. Sorry did not get video on this one, but will have some on Sat. and will post it. Anyway the one thing it needs is retracts. Next on the priority List. Thanks to all for the Help here on the Nosen 310 Club. Cliff

RE: RE:
Hey Flyboy I believe you might be looking at some of my Pics, about the 3/8 Alum Tubes, If your wing is not built yet do the mod and use a larger tube for the joints. Mine are about 3/8 tubes with Solid steel in the centers to stiffen them up. However they do flex a little bit when moving on Grass my field is all grass with a runway and taxi ways cut down to 1" and the rest is 2" if I put retracts in it I will use a larger tube and socket with alignment dowels front and rear. as far as attaching the outer wing panels the Plans show 2 screws throught the tube under the nacelle. I modded mine to a single bolt between the tubes with a solid hardwood block in the outer panel and tapped for the bolt, to tighten the bolt I have a hatch on the nacelle that i can open to get to the bolt. Hope this shed some light on the subject for you. If you have any questions Let me know. Thanks Cliff

RE: RE:
Please do I have been considering them myself. and if you read the reviews you will find out the nose gear is 105 degree and the mains are 85 I believe. That may have been a fluke, But hopefully they are as stated. Cliff

RE: RE:
Hello All I have the one with Retracts and Flaps, Yes it it a foamy but she Fly's like it is on rails Takeoffs and landing are straight foward, I have 3 Flights on it now. Have done Rolls still getting the feel for her. Runs on a single 3 Cell 2200 Lipo, It took less then a hour to assemble. I fly from a grass Field and it is off in 20 feet. Have not really needed Flaps for landing, But will try them and let everyone Know. I like the statement made earlier It is a Nosen 310 Training Aid. If my Nosen Fly's and handles anything like this I will be a Happy camper. Cliff

RE: RE:
I agree with BPS it has been way to quiet here. Keep checking but no one has been updating. I my self am still waiting for my maiden, Seems like everytime I go out I find some small problem and have to put it off. 1st was a problem with servos, getting a lot of jitters, turned out to be a bad flap servo. then went out, almost ready to fly and realized the steering was backwards , had a 8 channel PCM rx but the 8th channel was a y connector with Bat. For some reason my radio would not show the 8th channel, Them switched to a G3 14 channel rx that would not link at the field. Brought it home and linked it up. Then while checking everything I realized the flap servos were different speeds, Install a new matched set and now it is ready. But weather has not been nice. decent during the week and windy and rain on the weekends, Last weekend Sat was decent but we were doing field maintence. Makes me wonder?????? Maybe this weekend. Sat chance of rain but Sunday is forcast as sunny. We'll see. Cliff

RE: RE:
Hello All Guess it is time for an update. Just finished up the wings, Motors are mounted, Wired with both on -off switches and kill switches. Servos are installed in Ailerons, Flaps, Throttles and kill switches all are programed into the Radio with throws set-up and Flaps Slowed down. only thing left is to mount the props and spinners and landing gear. So now I can move this off the work spot and start on the Fuselage. Only minor stuff to do there, fix 1 spot on nose, new top window and fix the Door. Install the front gear and on-off switch going to try mounting it inside the cabin so fuse is clean. As soon as it is ready I will have Pics posted. Cliff Maiden next month.
