RE: OS Max 46AX repair
I heard a rumor that the piston and sleeve for an OS 46 FX can be replaced by components from another brand of engine. It's hard to believe but if true, I could save $$$$$$. Thanks, Roy Perry Peru, NY

OS 46 AX main bearing removal
I have new bearings from Boca. I bought this engine used knowing that the bearings needed replacement. The main bearing won't budge after heating the case to 350 F. The bearing is VERY rusty and I'm afraid it has locked itself into the crankcase. HELP! Thanks for your advice. Roy

Super Tiger mufflers
I have 2 ST 40s and a ST 51 and they are great engines. I don't like the mufflers that ST provides. I bought a Mac's muffler for $35 that fits these engines. Question: Is there a less expensive muffler that will fit or can be modified to fit these engines? Thanks, CC

Richmond R/C will ship a $9.00 con rod and add 8.95 for shipping. Does anyone know of a source for VMAX parts other than Richmond? How about interchanging parts from other engines made in China. Anyone had any experience? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks, CC

RE: VMAR Xtreme Stix
This is a brand new ARF from VMAR. It's available in a high or low wing version and three different colors. Price is $89.95. A good value IMO. I bought it so I can retire my Ace Thunder Tiger Stik which has been flying for 7 seasons. It's still going strong but it is time to retire it.

VMAR Xtreme Stix
I just finished a new VMAR Xtreme Stix and got 8 flights in yesteday. VMAR's quality is light years ahead of where it was not long ago. It flew beautifully and I plan to order another one. I got it from Jim Davis at Quantum Models.

RE: VMAR quality issues
I just recieved my newly released VMAR Xtreme Stik which I ordered from Quantum Models. It's obvious that there is a marked improvement in quality over the VMAR Discovery I bought for a club trainer 2 years ago. They really are getting better. So let's back off on beating up on VMAR I have built ARFs from Kangke, and Great Planes and found that I needed to beef up the areas around the firewall and other critical areas. No ARF is perfect though I must say that Kangke is close.

VMAX engine parts
Can anyone tell where to get parts for a VMAX .46 other than Richmond R/C? Since this engine resembles so many engines that are made in China it might be possible to use parts from other engines. One thing I found out is that the GMS .47 con rod does no fit my VMAX. It's one gnat's wisker too long. Bummer. Look forward to your help. Thanks, Roy Perry a/k/a Command Central

I want to build my Kangke CAP 232 Sport this winter. I am looking for hints and advice from the R/C fliers who may have built one. What do I need to do, if anything, to beef it up or make it a better airplane? I'm using a Tiger Shark .75 for power . I have a Kangke SK50 wich I have been flying for three years with a TS 52. It has been a blast. I recommend it to anyone who wants a great airplane/engine combo. Thanks for your help. Roy Perry

RE: tiger stick 40
I've flown one for more than 4 years. The covering does wrinkle but the airframe has held up well. Reinforce the firewall joints with hardwood triangular stock. I had a ST 51 in it and it really moved. It now has a TT GP 42 in it and still moves. Flies great and I'd get another. Command Central
