RE: SICKLES RULE
Hi Is there any technique to make it easier for folding the leading edge on the Sickle, as I have not made a Spad with the flutes running cord wise before. Also the thinnest coreflute I can get is 3.3mm, hope this will still work. Thanks Geoff

RE: Nelson s/s set up
Hi Yes the numbers did seem abit high [:D] My normal Q500 settings are 192/14-16 flying at or close to sea level with 10%nitro fuel. As the Nelson has no mini pipe in the new set up, I was wondering if the linner should be dropped right down as there is no longer any scavege or boost from the muffler. Geoff

Futaba Servos
Hi I have a couple of question regarding Futaba servos. First is the S9452 servo suitable for aircraft use (30cc gasser). Second, Towers are showing the gear set for the S9402 as discontinued, is there another gear set that will fit, or is the servo also going to be dicontinued. Thanks in advance Geoff

HS 7966 servo
Hi can you tell me if the HS 7966HB servo would be suitable for use in a 30cc gasser, as Towers for some reason list a 8kg/cm servo @6volt for 20-60 size aircraft. Why is this? I will be useing 6.6 volt. Geoff

RE: magnum 4 stroke muffler loose
Hi 3 to 4 turns of PTF tape ( white plumbers thread tape) screw the header or muffler up then tighten the lock nut. I use it at the cylinder head thread and muffler to header thread. Works on my OS, magnum and YS four strokes. Geoff

RE: CRRC PRO GF26I
Have removed the cylinder, and the play is due to the crankshaft moving through the bearings. The bearings to crankcase fit seems ok. Plenty of side play tolerance on the big end, so will just run the motor and see what happens.[:D] Geoff

CRRC PRO GF26I
Hi I have A GF 26I motor that has had about 2 litres of fuel through it, it now has excessive forward and rearward crankshaft movment (1mm plus). When the crankshaft is pushed in and pulled out, it makes a knocking sound, which gives me the impression that the bearing is moving in the housing, does this sound correct and has anyone else had this problem? Has been running on 25-1 mix, with an APC 17x8 prop, would not have thought that the prop load was too high. Geoff

RE: Aviastar .46 and .53 marked down at sigmfg.com
ORIGINAL: jeffie8696 Hard to post a photo of the spraybar mod. I like to squeeze the spraybar down slightly to decrease the slop and perform the barrel mod described in the review in Sport Fler. (A small channel is ground in the leading edge of the barrel to lean it out at idle). I have discussed it with Sig and they are doing the same. They are not however going to go through hundreds of engines  modding them all when only a small percentage are not right. They simply replace the bad ones and keep the cost down. I would love to see a new spraybar design and I am working with the factory to achieve this but Alvin has been gravely ill and I dont speak Chinese. If any of our members are model airplane enthusiasts and speak fluent Chinese I would LOVE to hear from them.
What is squeezing the spray bar down to decrease the slop doing for the carb?
