RE: New Giant Scale Gassers for OMP this March!
ORIGINAL: Berwyn Bill Thanks Steve. Beyond the 50cc size, I don't have the scoop on those engines. Not many of those as light as the DA but you never know whose published weight includes what. Does BME even make the 5.8 single anymore??
I dont know if they still make the BMe 5.8 but BME is still in business to fix it, and they last forever if you dont crash em. Why dont you like the DA? I love DA engines. There are a ton on singles in that size. I just thought of another one J&A 5.8 i think there are tons more i havent mentioned.
ORIGINAL: Berwyn Bill You'll need to build some bigger closets, Steve! [:D] Seriously, does anyone know of an 85-90cc single alternative to the DA-85? Nice to know if there are other lightweight options.
isnt there alot of them? Brison 5.8, BME 5.8, 3w 5.8, RCS 5.8, zdz 5.8, fox 5.8, first place engines 5.8, am i wrong? arent these all 100cc size single engines?

RE: So hows about a ProYak build?
ORIGINAL: Spacey Hehe you won't find many JR guys using 6V packs. JR's servos just aren't rated or designed to run on 6V, but they don't need to. Their all optimised to be used on 4.8V. Some of the newer servos are now being rated for 6V and higher as well but it's only a handfull by now and then those servos already kick the competition's behind on 4.8V. This bird has removeable wings yes. More to follow on the build soon. For now it's weekend and flying time though. Hehe
Spacey, i'm flying Jr and have been using 6v in everything for about 9 years now with zero problems. As a matter of fact in all that time, ive never had a single servo have a problem ( other than a broken gear) in any servo above a standard. Ive had plenty of standard jr servos go bad though maybe the 6v? i am now running A123 batteries for my rx's and they are 6.6v and no problems. Some of our club members are running unregulated lipos 7.4v on their jr stuff with no problems.

RE: Why you love the OMP Fusion?
ORIGINAL: Gringo Flyer I am about to start my 67" Fusion this week and am wondering about the build time. Not including covering and engine/radio setup how quick can you frame it up? I assume it goes together quick, but we are talking mojo fast?
the build is quick, only took me a few week........................er years to build. If you leave the wemmen alone you can build it quick.

RE: OMP Yak 65, YS 110 Combo
ORIGINAL: Fuelman Hey Constrictor, Instead of the OS 120AX, go for a Webra 120 and a mousse can. That should get ballastic thrust out of a hover. I just ran my old worn out Webra 120 with a webra header and a 10oz mousse can on 15% fuel with a wood Master Scimitar 16x6 and got a top end of 10470 steady with absoutly instant throttle response. Sticking plunger
I have a YS 110 that has a sticking plunger ( leaks fuel out of the carb) ive taken it apart, and dont know what its suppose to look like when its closed. Is it suppose to be closed tight against the regulator body, or out so that its pushing the diaphram into the hold in the engine? also is the small plunger hear or the larger the lastest updated one.

RE: OMP Yak 65, YS 110 Combo
I run 30% in my 110's, 3 of them. The old fx will run longer than any similar sized engine on fuel, mine will go 30 minutes on 14 oz. I have one of the newers 110S and it ususes considerably more fuel and has more power. There is nothing wrong with the power of the old 110 and i have many gallons through them. if you are sounding rich, and it wants to die at an idle, and the low speed needle seems rich no matter where you put it, try turning the regulator in 1/4-1/2 turn. this will make less fuel pump through the motor.

RE: Items for sale not showing up.
its only working sometimes for me. I do the same thing every time, i click on buy and sell, then click on search by manufacturer, then i click on engines in the pull down menu, then ys engines in the pull down menu, then all all in the specific section of the ys engine pull down menu. sometimes i get nothing, sometimes i get what i searched for. been searching this way for years and no problems until about a week ago. Im betting its searching for an obscure item like the nearby YW engines.
