RE: HPI tx-2 radio
I've just had a look at mine and if I remember right it is the adjustment that will limit the amount of lock on your steering. To check turn on your radio, turn the wheel to full lock and adjust the dial.

RE: 1/10 Buggy Compatible Parts
I just left it as standard didn't trim anything and used the first hole. I've been amazed at how good it has been running and how long it has lasted. Personal opinion, they are worth the extra $$. There is also another clutch from HPI for the RS4 HPI87191. It is about $14 USD. Identical looking clutch, but for some reason not as expensive. I stocked up and got 4.

RE: 1/10 Buggy Compatible Parts
If you want a replacement clutch for these, you can use the A885 racing clutch from the HPI RS4. The best thing is it fits dtraight on and because ofits design it doesn't need the e clip. I have one in my buggy and I have put more the 20 tanks throught it. They are a little pricey at $19, but it sure beats replacing the spring all the time with the standard clutch.

RE: The New Redcats
Hi Eric, I have just seen the new truggy on your site and must say I'm impressed with it. Just a small question about it, I noticed the buggies in your pictures have a new style front arms (plastic & aluminium), I know I've broken a few of these on my buggy and these look a lot stronger, are they going to be available on the truggy or will it keep the older style front arm? Thanks mate.

RE: Does anyone have a Himoto 1/8 Truck?
The Himoto and the Redcat are made by HSP. The Redcat Hurricane and the Himoto Torpeda are a rebadge of the HSP Bazooka. All three are 1/8 and they go very well and are strong (don't mean you can't break them) The 1/8 truck is a version of the buggy. I race a Himoto Torpeda and a friend has a Tornado from HSP which is what you described you saw on the Himoto site. They are every bit as strong and durable as the Redcat Hurricane as reviewed. There only let down is the quality of the body shell. All parts except the arms and shafts are the same as the Hurricane and the one my friend got came with a .27 Infinity. He has also added hop up parts from Kyosho to his truck as most of the set up is an exact copy.

Who knows?
Hi everyone, I'm from Aust and I will be in L.A (Santa Monica) for 36 hours on a stop over. What I am lookin for is any information that can help me find a good R/C store in the area that I will be staying in or one that is near. I won't have my own transport, so I need the information of anyone who knows the location of good R/C shops where I can get some gear. Thanks.

RE: Truggy...
Proline sell an axle adaptor that extends the length of the axle and lets you use truck rims with a 23mm hex. It's made for 1/8 buggies.

RE: 1/8 buggy wheels on a 1/10 buggy?
On your 1/10 you can put tyres and rims from a 1/10 stadium truck (2.2" rims & tyres) They have the same axle size hole and same size hex nut. I put Porline Dirt Hawks and HPI 2.2 deep dish rims on my 1/10 buggy. A little slower top end but it goes places it never use to. Higher ride height and the tyres protrude slightle forward of the front bumper. You do need to trim the front of the buggy body or the wheels will rub when you turn.

RE: Redcat Compatible
Hi, I have a himoto Torpeda, from what I can remeber they are 98% upgradable with the Kyosho parts with the exception of the front arms. Take a look at a pic of the Mp7.5 and the Bazooka/Himoto/redcat and you will see the difference. There are front aluminium arms available. I think Redcat have some now, but you can find them on eBay.

RE: Export Pro Kicked off Ebay????
I have to agree. I ordered a Himoto Torpeda pro from them and then got that scary email from eBay about it not being a valid transaction, but I had already paid. I contacted exportpro by phone and they confirmed that they had a problem with the computer being hacked. I got a confirmation email and tracking number. I got my buggy in 3 days from being ordered. My 2 cents is there service is great and quick.

RE: REDCAT WHY DO THE GEARS STRIP OUT??
Hi All, I don't know if he runs metal gears, but there have been a couple fo people who have tried it but they found that the metal gear and the alloy bell gear didn't get a long to well. They both need to be of a similar hardness of metal to survive each other. The gear box has a different slipper clutch and a different type of plastic gears. As for him needing the money I can't say. I only know what I know from the experiences I have had. He helped me get things running and running well and it didn't cost me very much. What I do know is that my gear box has held together along with the clutch for 5 months now, that's about 4 months, 3 weeks and six days longer than the originals and he charges half the price for parts as the other part supplier does in Australia. Sorry you had a bad experience with someone off the forum Mark, my personal opinion is that we are on forums to help each other out and share what we have learnt and to try and save others from the same grief. I order stuff from the U.S all the time, so I'm happy to buy from who ever has what I need, when I need it and if it isat a price I'm happy to pay. I'm buying a new nitro r/c soon and it's between a local shop and tower hobbies and by thelooks of things tower hobbies will be cheaper for me including the postage and the fact the Aust $ with worth only 72 cents in the U.S.

RE: REDCAT WHY DO THE GEARS STRIP OUT??
Hey Popper252, here is the link to the parts site and forum topics. http://www.plaig.com.au/index2.htm On the left select Atomic Buggy spares. Look at the PLAIG DESIGNED UPGRADE PARTS at the top. The parts I used were 02048PL Modified Engine Clutch & Spring and 06034PL Modified Complete 2-speed Gearbox. This is the link for the 1/10 Atomic Warhead Buggy. There are quite a few posts and all to do with problems and fixing them. Just look for gears, gear stripping etc. http://plaighobbies.forumsplace.com/forum-2.html Also here is the technical post section. There is some good info on the gears and how to replace and fitand properly adjust the gears. http://plaighobbies.forumsplace.com/forum-14.html If your into the 1/10 Trucks, in the main forum list there is a section on those and replacement parts and upgrades. A few of the guys have put the upgraded gear box into the trucks and turned them ito 2 speed trucks. Hope it helps. If I can assist anymore, just let me know.

RE: REDCAT WHY DO THE GEARS STRIP OUT??
G'day everyone. I have a HiSpeed Warhead 1/10, which is a Redcat in the U.S. I to have had the same problems with gears and clutch springs. Thankfully the guy who sells them here also has an intrest in R/C and helps out the best he can. He has sourced upgraded replacement 2 speed gears boxes and an upgraded clutch and spring. Ever since I got those put in I haven't had a problem and they only cost me and extra $5 aussie dollars more than the standard parts. I also put alloy front steering knuckles on mine. the ones that fit are for the HPI NMT. I got the GPM racing products part SN4021 and they fit exactly and bearings of course. Here is the web link to the Australian forum. You might be able to gain some useful information. The guy who runs the forum is the distributor of the buggies. http://plaighobbies.forumsplace.com/index.html Hope it helps some.
