RE: How much is it worth?
I looked through the marketplace to get an idea of what they are going for but haven't had any luck. Im considering moving up to a 40% but would need to get at least 2500 for the 2.6m to help finance it. I was going to order the plane today but I guess I'll have to wait to see if I can get the money for my 2.6. Thanks guys.

How much is it worth?
I am considering putting my Composite Arf 2.6 Meter Yak on the marketplace. It has a BME 110Xtreme and all hitec 5955 servos. CF Prop. Lithium batteries and 2 RXs'. I'm not advertising. I am just wondering what I might be able to get for it. Has about 10 gallons run through it. Thanks. .

Gas engine backfire?
Can a clogged screen in the carb cause backfire issues or is my time better spent looking elsewhere?

RE: BME Backfire?
Thanks. A few weeks ago my BME began to run very rough with a slight backfire. Assuming that I had a bad plug I landed and changed plugs. Long story short I ended up pulling off the carb to find that one of my reeds were broke. Thinking I found the problem, I ordered and installed new reeds. Today I tried to start it up and the backfiring was still there. I am figuring that whatever caused the backfire is what broke the reeds in the first place? Anyhow, I will start by sending in the ignition.

RE: Problem with BME 110?
RTK. I pulled off the carb to check the screen. Immediately found the problem. I think. One of the reeds is broken. Will this cause the behavior I described? I am totally ignorant to the operation of these carbs. I wonder if the reed broke which caused the erratic running and backfiring or if somehing else like the ignition caused the backfiring which broke the reed? Either way, I ned a new reed. Any idea where I can get one?

RTK. Thanks. I'm sure that cleaning the carb screen is a simple process but since I have never disassembled a carb is there a "how to" available?

Problem with BME 110?
I am having some troubles withmy engine. I figure that I would post the issues in hopes to find the most likely cause before I start troubleshooting. Engine BME 110 Mej. 28x10 Belray 44:1 I have about 10 gallons through the engine now and to this point it has performed flawlessly. Today while on my second flight it began running a bit erratic. My best description is it "sounded" like it had a terrible misfire around mid range. Once I opened the throttle up it seemed OK. I have not touched the needles so that seems like an unlikely cause. Anyhow, I landed it assuming that I had a fouled plug. About 30 minutes later I decided to start it up to see how it acted on the ground. Now that it couldn't unload, it was "backfiring" and missing through the whole throttle range. I pulled both plugs and they looked great. They had a nice tan color. I decided to put in new plugs anyway. Now I can't get it to run. The symptoms now are. Choke on full throttle I flip it till it pops. Usually 3 flips. Then, choke off, set throttle to idle, and flip. After 4 flips it fires and runs for 2-3 seconds and shuts off. I can repeat these procedures with the same results over and over. I have done no troubleshooting at this point other than changing plugs. Any ideas?

Torqued-up. Yeah, something wasn't right. Like I said. Mine balanced spot on and that's with a light wooden prop and no spinner.

Mine also balanced perfectly. I am running a DA 50 with a cannister. No Spinner. 1 li-ion behind the firewall and 1 just in front of the gas tank.

Mike. That's funny. I think I just finished my 3rd one. LOL I have only had 1 chance to fly it and I can't stop thinking about how well it flew. I wonder what would happen if I replaced all of the balsa with competition grade. That along with ultra light covering and all CF. I bet I could get the next one in the 14lb range.

RE: Hybrid Edge
Constrictor. You would love it. Tiktock. I have my cables crossed. My pivot point is right on the hinge line and my servo arm is slightly offset. My gemetry is perfect. I have the same tension on my cables all the way through the motion. I mounted one cable to the top of the servo arm and the other to the bottom. I am using a SWB servo arm which is about 1/4" thick. Tthis keeps my cables far enough apart that I don't have any problems with cables rubbing.

Other than the fact that the newer 80" Edge kits come with a foam fuse core are there any other advantages like weight or flying characteristics?

RE: Hybrid Edge
Well I had the chance to maiden today. All I can say is WOW. This thing is freakin awesome. First, I have to pat myself on the back as it required no trimming. It was just a bit windy but it seemed to track well. Landing was a hoot. No S**t it took me 3 trys to get her down. It just floats. Finally on my 3rd attempt i decided that I better force it down before I ran out of gas. I finally got her about 4' off the runway. I was just 2-3 clicks above idle and it just stopped. There I am 4' from the ground and my plane is not moving. I have never seen anything like that before. I can't wait to get a few tanks through the DA so I can really crank it up. Grat job OMP.
