RE: need your advice ..... please..
shigaardi <![endif]><![if gte mso 10]><![endif]><!StartFragment> If you can't or won't take the advice of others who have expressed concern about the size, speed, and flying characteristics of your F16 (as your first jet), then consider having a friend with experience help you fly it with a buddy box/cord until you are ready to solo. I also agree that a P180 will be more than enough power to get your adrenaline going when flying. Lastly, please make sure you video tape your maiden and share it with the membership. Best of luck and safe landings! <!EndFragment>

RE: Ultra flash or Bandit
ORIGINAL: KFX450 I'm thinking of my next winter project and I'm trying to decide between the two. I had my heart set on a bandit but I was just watching an ultra flash and it made me think twice. Price point being a really good factor. Don't want to start anything here but would like to hear from people on thoughts. I find this a good place to sway my decision. Would like to hear from some people that have flown both. Thanks in advance.
<!StartFragment> Never flown an UF but I currently have a composite Super Bandit with a P-120. The model flies absolutely phenomenal. I tell my friends the jet feels like a sniper’s riffle in terms of precision and reliability. BV builds a great kit. You won't be disappointed. <!EndFragment>

RE: futaba 8fg super for jet turbine flying?
<!StartFragment> Absolutely. I'm learning to fly my BVM Super Bandit with the 8FG. The new Futaba wireless training system is fabulous, too. However, I do agree that programming a model (giant scale warbirds and jets is what I’m familiar with) for the first time can be complicated. My buddy helped me with the programming, so it was painless. I'm very pleased with the radio and 6014-receiver combination. Best <!EndFragment> <!EndFragment>

RE: ESM Fairey Swordfish
One of the upper wings fell in the garage. Luckily, no damage at all to the wing; however, one of the flying wires snapped. I then used a black elastic cord to replace it. I had to to the same on the other ing. Esthetically, it looks better than before, but I suspect that it may not be doing the job of keeping the wing square or attached. Fockewulf37 - any chance of seeing a photo of the zip ties on the lower struts and hard points on the bottom and top? It is a nice plane but mine is grounded until I can fix the wing problem. Thank you both for the info! Here's a photo of the plane:

RE: ESM Fairey Swordfish
Greetings - I purchased an ESM Swordfish that was partially built recently. This is only my second ARF build, so I am not very good at modifying the manual instructions. The manual does not explain how to connect the upper wings to the mid-wing portion. It does show how to connect the two bottom wings to the center-wing - by drilling two holes through the wings and through the wing tube. The lower wings are then connected to the wing tube by two bolts and washers. But I cannot find how to connect the upper wings to the mid-wing piece. The upper wing is connected by two fibre wing joiner. However, when I start the engine, an MT 35, the vibration causes the two upper wings to spread apart from the mid-wing portion since there is nothing holding them together. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looking for Kit Builder
<!StartFragment> Can anybody recommend a professional kit builder near North Florida? I'm interested in a A6M3 Zero Warbird 85 to 95 inch wingspan using a Ziroli or Yellow Aircraft kit. Thanks <!EndFragment>

RE: Sundowner 50 Arf
Hey guys...I've been following the thread and wanted to add my pics. After some robust reinforcement on the fuse and firewall, I'm almost finished with my SD 50. I hung a YS 110 with a 14x10 apc prop. I'm guessing she will fly pretty fast...somewhere between 110 and 130 mph but I'm not sure. The YS is a hammer-knocker but the reinforcement should work. I've read a lot about Evos, Saitos and Jetts but not much about the YS. I should maiden her this coming weekend. Other than the engine flying off, I'm concerned about the Dubro 16 0z fuel tank because it tends to expand quite a bit with the 7to 9 lbs of pressure produced by the engine. I used a couple of tie wraps to keep it from expanding too much and pressuring the canopy.
