RE: Help with 3pm FASST
just thought .. are you waiting about 2-3 mins before turning off power. It seems like it's not getting enough time to "set"as a part of programing.

RE: Help with 3pm FASST
I did get mine figured out with running lipos, the ECS was getting over voltage spikes and shutting down power to the reciver.I instaled a voltage regulator and ALL PROBLEMS are gone. It works like it's supose to. Try running a 5 cell reciver battery pack direct to the reciver,BUT REMEMBER to disconect the red power wire from the ECS to reciver. If all works fine then you need to use reciver pack or figure out if your over voltage or under voltage. then install regulator. hope this helps. SVO re-check all your wireing. then if you can have some one else check it( two sets of eyes are better than one) I made a few simple mistakes when installing mine. even affter checking and re-checking i coun't see the problem. Is Your lipo cut off set properly?(That was my first problem)

RE: roll cage
I had a very simmiler cage as that, and landed on the lid a couple of times and it bent really bad(doing flips) and I bent it back. I did that twice and it broke.I would not recomend that style. if it was better cossed braced at the windshiled and over the rear wheels,it would be an awsome cage. Just my 2cents.

RE: Help with 3pm FASST
Thank you Krysta. Today I tryed it again only to have it run away again, however tryed affter work with only the site super, his assitant and myself on site..It did seem better less shut down, and no runaway....till Super and assitant came very close to where I was standing, the problem got worse instantly..We got talking about cell phones and radio noise, then assistants phone beeped ( it's a mic phone) and this is when I saw some interferance with the R/C. We played a bit with all our phones and it seemed to efect the r/c. Is this possible.

RE: Help with 3pm FASST
while driving the truck just stops, I lose all control( it normaly doesn't run away) it's like it freezes like it lost power to every thing.. Then wait 2-3 sec then away it goes again. Normaly it happens when I'm at full throtle and let off compleatly.then it freezes. If I drive realy easying on throtle, and easying off throtle it seems better(does not cut out as much) I have checked the plug and wireing, all seems ok. I tryed re binding reciver/transmiter again. I tryed re-programing the lipo cut off switch. I have tryed useing a 4 cell receiver pack direct to the receiver( to eliminate any problems with the ECS) Or could it be the nest of wires? tucked between the reciver and tranny ( that is the lipo cutoff) I thought of trying a 5 cell receiver pack, but the hobbie guy said "not to use 5cell unless I disconect power wire to/from ECS..as not to over volt the reciver.. Is this true? would it be ok to try 5 cell with out disconecting wire to receiver. I understand I DO NOT turn on power at ECS.. Or is that what I did wrong with the 4 cell.not turning on the ECS power switch. ANY thoughts I was just reading about bec systems on other post,Is it possible I need to install one of these seperatly. novak 6.5 brushless on 2 7.4 6000maxamps lipos wired as one 14.8. With one plug and jumped across at the ECS

RE: Help with 3pm FASST
I am seeing very similer problems with my 3pm fass also. it wants to frezze affter letting off throtle, for only about 2-3 seconds then away we go again. it seems very concictent though, from full throtle to no throtle, I can make it do it two out of three times. I had a two runaways in the past three days also. bolth at different locations. it only ran for about 2-3 seconds.. thank god!!I'm asuming it has something to do with failsafe? But not sure. YES I have programed and re-programed and had it to the local hobbie shop, they had look and coun't figure it out. they say to send it back to futaba. It is in an emaxx with the HV novak 6.5 with maxamps 6000 lipos. with the can on ecsI tryed today to run a 4cell regargeable reciver pack and It still shuts down on me. It has been very frustrating from day one with this radio. More the learning curve. have not contacted futaba yet, But will have to cuse I have run out of ideas to fix this problem.

Maximizer rims????????
E-Maxx HV6.5 novak + Maximizer rims= LOTS of head aches. This is what happens when you use maximizer rims on a bashing E-Maxx. Three rims in about 6-8 runs. The wife missed the breakage on second try, I slid side ways just before the pile which resulted in breaking # three rim.Speed was about 1/2 throtle in second gear (gearing is 12/72)Not that fast!! First & second breakage was from landing a back flip on one wheel, from about 4 feet of air.Second one may have been cracked from cartwheeling down hill in video. That's it for me NO MORE Maximizers. My pro lines are going on as soon as I finish this post. Heres the video from today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSA0g8RI3Qg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOtfqbH6Tks&NR=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3ypP08O9lU&NR=1

RE: ANY CVD UPGRADES SUGGESTED4 EMAXX!
The t-maxx will fit if they are the 2.5 version..I think the 3.3 version is same as the revo..Is'nt it. If so just use stock revo drive shafts.. but will need to cut them about 3/16-1/4 inch. Or change the berring cariers to revo style.and then stock revo drives will work. I am just in the processe of putting revo center drives on my Hv6.5 equiped E-maxx, thinking this will be the week link in my drive train, but better this than tranny or diffs.

RE: Portable ramps !
They are very simple to build! use your imagination here... go to local construction site and get some scrap 3/8 inch thick plywood should bee easy to find 4 foot by about 2.5- 3 foot.( this is the imagination part) one sheet... piece of rope or chain.... second sheet should look like this lol /--\ opps forgot the HINGE at the top.. when it's time to move it folds up to bout 3/4 inch thick, and fairly light.. I will try to build one tomorrow and post as well as my home made ones.

RE: Help with futaba 3pm 2.4g
Well after re-programing all over again... another three times. even with new model number..I have the same problem.. this is what I do see though: trans..on.. green light on back of trans on turn on power switch to ecs... lights and fan on ecs, as well as RED light on reciver (all this happening over bout first 1-2 second period) next full throtle.. 2-3 seconds, then GREEN light ON RECIVER then stop..I have full control drive with out problems turn OFF transmiter nothing happens.... NO RUN AWAY!!!! turn on transmitter and drive normal with full control. Turn OFF ecs... turn on ECS and you guessed it there goes bout $1800.00 worth of truck down the street into trafic ( thats what would have happend IF I would have let it...lol) After it's 2-3 sec temper tantrum we get along just fine. I have two 7.4 6000 Max-Amps wired as one 14.8 HV Novak 6.5 brushless with Novak lipo cut off. I am lost for thought on what to do.. been to three hobby shops and none seem to have any Ideas what could be wrong. It has to be something simple with the radio system cuse the traxxas radio worked fine out to bout 250-300 yards, then got some Interferance.

Help with futaba 3pm 2.4g
I have just installed a new futaba 3pm 2.4 g system into my hv 6.5 novak e-maxx and affter endless programing and re-programing, I can't figure out WHY!!! when I turn on power to ecs the thing goes full throtle for bout 2 seconds then stops like it's at nutral position. With factory traxxas radio system I could turn on and NOT have RUNAWAY. Is this normal,if not any ideas what to do to fix this problem. I think I have the fail safe set to nutral. I have set and re-set the ecs all with same problem. Thanks in advance.

Yes they say direct fit but as I just found out there not. I was told they would fit on my E-Maxx and got RPM berring carriers at same time with the new berrings but I still can't make them fit seems like the bout 1/2 inch long. Please any one who has done this, could you please comment on what might be wrong. do not use this list of parts: RPM A arm part #80462 RPM berring carrier part # 80032 Traxxas berring part # 5120 Traxxas steel drive shafts(cvd's) part # 5451R found the list of parts required for revo or steele drive shafts replacement on E-Maxx's It's all right here ( use these parts ) http://www.traxxas.com/support/index.php?action=artikel&cat=34&id=560&highlight=steel%20cvd hope this saves some one the HUGH headach I have just went through trying to switch over to Revo style shafts.

RE: Emaxx gearring ???or suspension set up
Sorry guys I stand corrected, slipper ( with all 12 pegs instaled)is or should I say was set tight then backed off 1/8 to 1/4 turn.. with that said. today was the only day i tryed it on perfectly dry/ clean pavement and WOW this is the way it is supose to be, standing back flips( or forward flips if ya want to lol) But on medium pack dirt I would expect it to want to wheely, but it don't. Can anyone suggest posible suspension tweeks to help put more power to the ground in stead of spinning. Today had it out at the local 7-eleven parking lot at coffee time, left it in ( what I thought was SAFE and capable hands. MY BRO) and when I got out of store bouot 4/6 mins later I hear the tell tale sound of striped gears[:@] Ripping it apart right there to find, the Kimbro slipper in two peices inner with pegs still embedded and outer not one tooth looking warn at all( if i could get pics off camera i would post) Melted and still VERY hot.
