Hi Guys! I'm still out here! Just stumbled upon this thread!! Looking GREAT on the Jack's Delta!!! If you have ANY doubt on CG use the calculator on my site and use 18% as your MAC. http://www.flybyphotography.com/CrazyHerb/CGCalculator/CG.htm I used to launch it by holding the leading... RE: Giant Delta...has it's OWN site now...
Wayne, you crack me up buddy! Hint - I've found that if you can get the fin/fins BEHIND the trailing edge it helps A LOT!! Let em dangle out the back somewhere.... None-the-less COOL project! What did you cover it with??? Maybe I need to get back into a glow motor just to play with Giant Delta again... BUT I do have a 60Amp 14.8V brushless power system with 13x7 folding prop. Maybe go with really THIN and GOBS of wing area to maximize efficency?? (wheels turning in my head again) "Honey, I'll be out in the garage!" [:-] Steve

RE: Programming Instructions for the Mystery 40A - 120A ESC
Campy, Just wanted to say your instructions are great!! THANK YOU!! Question though.... To save a setting, do you: 1. Pull back to idle or mid-stick? 2. "during" the series of beeps that you want, or right after? 3. Disconnect power after changing whatever setting? And it should save that setting? Cause if your using go to idle it will engage the throttle then your "out" of programming mode (not fun with a heli!!) So, I guess I'm looking for the following objective, if following the menu above: 1. Brake OFF 2. 4S Lipo (11.2V) 3. Rotation - Normal 4. Soft Start - On 5. Undervoltage - Ignore 6. Timing - Auto 7. Feq - Auto 8. RPM Control - Off How would I go about meeting this objective? Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks! Thanks. Steve

RE: Programming Instructions for the Mystery 40A - 120A ESC

Example: https://www.unitedhobbies.com/UNITEDHOBBIES/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2169 ??? Steve

RE: Crazy Herb's 1/2A Foamie Delta Flight Report
Congradts! I agree with CombatPig...Rudder has to be out past the trailing edge to have any effect (been there, done that)....almost makes you want to extend a tailboom back...then slap a rudder on that.... Nice flying and camera work BTW!! Good Job Joe!! CrazyHerb

RE: Crazy Herb's 1/2A Cheap Delta
It's called Non-expo two channel single stick AM radio (cheapest you could get)... I was surprised to see it had MIXING....so I got it for like 50 bux with rx and two servos (dry cell AA, I quickly swapped for the 250mah 2/3A pack). Oh ya...and a CG of about 20%..... It gets even better at 22%....[;)] CrazyHerb

RE: Crazy Herb's 1/2A Cheap Delta
Nice looking deltas guys! Maybe I need to get version 3 going....Hmmm.... Too many projects...not enough time.... ANDREW - I love your hold-down method!! Simple light and cheap. I just use RTV/Clear Silicone (rough the sides of servos/rx up a little with some 80 grit) and they become "one with the plane" and rubber vibration isolated all in one shot. CrazyHerb

Folding Prop for Park 370 Outrunner?
Hi all, Just looking for a folding prop for my Park 370 outrunner. Swings an APC 10x4.7....but I'm sure I may have to size it down a little for the mass of a folding prop. Anyone have recommendations? I'd like to get my airframe to "clean-up" really good with motor off... Thanks. CrazyHerb

RE: Ryobi 31cc - How do you start it?
Hi, I use a Kavan geared starter with 12amp battery. I've used the Dubro spinner nuts with great success. It's just easier to have a spinner on these motors with the flywheel. Good Luck! CrazyHerb
