O.S. .61F SR Carburetor.
Does anybody know if a 7M carburetor is a stock part for an O.S. .61F SR? P.S. Thanks for answering my muffler question. I was able to find a brand new 744 muffler on EBAY for $20 plus shipping.

RE: Long ez 46 engine mounting question.
Yes, I have my elevator set to pull back on the gibble the elevator goes down 1/4" with 40% expo. Push forward on the gibble the elevator goes 1/4" up with 40% expo. I will check the cg for your number. I have 3/8" up and down in the ailerons with 25% expo. I got these numbers from AK-Models web site even though their plane is a little different than my white Nitro Planes. I have already set the nose up with a higher nose gear. I am trying to take off on grass. I have a YS 45 on mine. Thanks for the info.

RE: Long ez 46 engine mounting question.
[&o] I have crashed my Nitro Planes long-ez 6 times now trying to get it off the ground. Either I am doing something seriouslyv wrong or this plane is seriously flawed. I balanced my long-ez with an empty tank 5.98" back from the leading edge of the wing at the fuse. I have no up or down thrust in the engine. I mounted it on the cross marks flush on the fire wall. My Long-EZs vertical stabilizers at the wing tips are pointed inwards. This seems to me to be a mistake by the manufacturer or is it suppose to be like this? I would appreciate any advise from anyone who is sucessfully flying this plane? I consider myself to be a good R/C pilot but this plane is __issing me off!!!

RE: Nitromodels ARF Long EZ Voyager .46
[:o]I have crashed mine 3 times just tying to get it off the ground. I was disappointed in the quality of the plane. It is not covered in monokote or ultracote. The covering is more like an econokote type covering. So far I wished I had not purchased this plane. I am going to try one last time to fly it and if it does not fly i am going to throw it in the trash.

RE: Seagull's "Dual Ace"
Installing retracts in this plane would probably be easier than most ARFs. I don't think it would buy you much and it will be alot more work. If you are a beginner to twins I would not recommend retracts at first. Get some flight time in an then consider it again. I definitely would not recommend 52 four strokes for this plane. They would probably fly the plane o.k. but it would not do it justice. You should start out with the 46s and progress to 60s or even 90 four strokes. Save your 52s for a Hobbico Twinstar. I have 3 Twinstars and they love 52 fourstrokes. There is two things I do not like about the Twinstar however. the covering SUCKS and the fuel tanks are two small. I removed the covering from my second and third Twinstar and sanded them and recovered them with Ultracote. My Dual Ace is a little faster and a lot more aerobatic than my Twinstar.

RE: Seagull's "Dual Ace"
Sheptack, I used small JR Sport MN48 Servos for the throttle to cut down on the weight. I had to plank in the servo tray a little to get them to fit. I also had a little trouble with the rods they provided, so I used sullivan #508 cables instead. They work great. I used the golden rod that comes with the cable and stuck it though the firewall about a 1/4" and ran it up the cable about 75% of the length of the cable.

NitroPlanes P-38 52 90" Wing
Does anybody know if the NitroPlanes P-38 52 90" plane has a center wing section? The manual clearly shows the plane as having a two piece wing, but to me this makes no sense. Nitro Planes tells me that the plane has a three piece wing. How do they get that? Another problem I see with this plane is that the fuel tanks are underneath the carburetor. I thought that was a no-no in the RC airplane world unless you use a pump? I would like to have one of these planes but the manual is scaring me away from it and the guys at NitroPlanes can't give me a clear answer. If anyone out there has one of these planes let me know what you think.

RE: Seagull's "Dual Ace"
I got a Dual Ace when they first came out. I put two YS45s on it. I had to add 10.5 ounces of lead to the firewall to balance it. I have had no regrets. It will haul ass and it flys great. I balanced it just as the manual said. I increased the elevator, aileron and rudder throw just a little over the manuals recomendations. I have had two engine outs because the cork in the right tank came loose. It flew in without a hitch. I have had some experience with twins and I like this one well. I recommend a Fults 3.5" nose gear over the flimsy one they provide. I would also put 1 1/8" #6 wood screws in the corks on the fuel tanks instead of the metric machine screws they provide. I plan to add two 10 oz. Sullivan flex tanks, 2 O.S. 60s with Mac mufflers, and two 2.75" aluminum spinners to this plane soon and I am hoping to be able to remove most of the 10.5 ounces of lead from the firewall. The Dual Ace Rocks!

Duellist down thrust.
Does anyone know why the Pica Duellist has down thrust? Is this stock amount of down thrust needed? Also, does anyone know where the thrust line on the firewall should be? There does not seem to be any left or right thrust, just down thrust, is this correct? Does anyone have better thrust settings than Pica?

Rossi 45 engine problem.
Hello everyone, I have a new, but three year old Rossi 45. I am using 10% nitro Omega fuel and using a APC 10x6 prop and an O.S. #8 glow plug. The engine is running great on top end. However, it is loading up on the bottom end. The engine hesitates when I give it full throttle from idle speed, to the point it almost stalls. I have the low end needle valve screwed in almost all the way in. Does anyone out there know how to get this engine running right? I know that Rossi engines are suppose to run on fuel without nitro, but this type of fuel is not available in my area. Thanks for your help.

I just ordered a Red GP Viper from Tower Hobbies. They just got a few in. I am going to put either a Rossi 45 or a OS46FX or a YS45 on it. I was wondering if CA hinges will be enough for this plane. I estimate it will fly well over 100MPH. Do you all think CA hinges are good enough.

YS 63 bearing and crank.
I sent YS Performance my YS 63 that threw a bearing after 2hrs of run time on it after YS Performance rebuilt it. Your guys said the crank was .007 out. They wanted to replace the crank at my expense. I refused. If this crank was .007 out, then it was .007 out when YS Performance installed it. I never as much as busted a prop with this engine since you company replaced it. Are people damaging this cranks by starting them? Is there anyway I can get satisfaction on this engine?
