RE: Safety Violations
Much of this comes from bad training. if your club trained these flyers, they should be held accountable also

RE: DC/Juno F-20 Build Progress
I run the Jett 50 with a 9/7 apc. 60lx, you will have your hands full[sm=thumbup.gif] Your firewall needs to be rock solid. The plane is an unbelievable flyer. Wingloading is very high so until you have faith that your engine is tuned up reliably, keep it up high enough to allow for time cuz if that engine quits, it's coming down. if you don't think your going to make it back to the runway, leave the gear up and belly land it out their or you may rip the gear clean off.

RE: DC/Juno F-20 Build Progress
ORIGINAL: smoknrv4 The parts in the kit are nice, but the instructions have a little to be desired, its definately not a beginner kit, but if you've scratch built before you will be fine it'll be straight forward for you. I've got another Jett motor on my patriot XL (BSE 90L) and its awesome, they are exspensive but they are worth the money, the old saying''You get what you pay for'' is relevant here for sure. The airframe itself is a nice design, very smooth, and I think with the Swiss air theme it will look nice, I'll try and post some more pics later of my progress. Cheers
Well, my 2cents to this is Kavan Wheels. Do not use rubber and foams is of no value. Iuse kavans on every plane i have. Made of a hard plastic. i don't know what kind of surface your flying on but if its asphalt, if you land to hot or make an aborted take off and need to slide it sideways. You wont have any wheel hopping that will rip out the gear.

RE: What would polite suggestion be?
I see people like this from time to time. My methods of dealing with it are not widely accepted but it works and gets the point across and that is to bring out a plane that is a real POS and do the same thing back at them. When they see this is as annoying as H___, they'll get the point. Oh yeh, Hello everyone

My uncle flew F-100's back in the 60's. I shoot him emails of rc stuff but he recently saw some rc video of an F-16 with an Afterburner. He thought that was great. I would like him to link up with some Dallas area Turbine clubs if there are any just for him to look around. Thanks

RE: I hate theifs
ORIGINAL: tIANci This is really funny, we are talking about gonads and pro-NRA against the pacifists. Looking at the whole situation it would be true that the first reaction is to give chase, nothing wrong with that but then again, in today's world people end up getting killed for less. The perpetrator may be armed with a knife at the least and one of my surgeon friend has seen too many stab wounds and always tells me its not worth getting into ANY argument. Chasing thorough a shopping mall etc might be ok but when you go into alleyways etc all on your own, now that is a different ball game. Me, I am into handguns and all I love to shoot but one thing my dad has taught me is its not worth putting yourself into danger. Especially not for something like 2 RC trucks. Perhaps insurance would be good? Its cheap and safe. There are way too many laws in the US of which perpetrators can end up being victims. Using handguns is one, once the thief, even armed with a handgun breaks off from an engagement, then the victim who gives chase with a handgun is now the PERPETRATOR. Even then it may turn ugly for the victim. The irony of being sued by the thief. Maybe its time to think of how we can live longer rather than being remembered as a dead hero over a small act of heroism.
Mr. T! How goes it?

RE: Moki 180 inverted?
ORIGINAL: smaze17 Hi guys. Want to run a Moki 180 on a Hanger 9 1.50 Mustang which would require an inverted set-up. I've had several Moki's and all of them have been side mounted. I have never used any pump, on-board glow or pinched a pitts style exhaust stack ever for any of these motors and they have all run flawlessly. Should it run just as well inverted? Thanks in advance! Spence
I've said this a hundred times here. I have several inverted enginess and all start up easy and run excellent-as long as you lower the fuel tank. Either you do or you don't and the results are it will or it won't

RE: "Refurbished Plane" ????
Nitroplanes is also one of several other companies along with a few heli sites. You really need to have an understanding when dealing with them. First is to seriously expect the worst. Then when is shows up in 1/2 a$$ed condition, your not so upset! I have bought several Heli items from them and I have been satisfied as I did the homework first and i got exactly what I paid for.

RE: "Refurbished Plane" ????
I've refurbished a few. This US 60 was a real POS hanging from a ceiling in the garage destined for the dumpster. Guy gave it to me. I stripped it down and rebuilt and recovered. Spring Airs and a Jett 90 turn this junker into a real sweet plane.

RE: o.s. 1.08 need higer rpms
ORIGINAL: mjderstine Hey guys. Here is my situation. i have a 1.08 BX-1 from OS and have it on an RCairboat called the Hull Force. You should be able to find the thread in the rcairboat section with little problems, its right at the top. the boat weighs right at around 12 pounds with a full tank of fuel. I am going to make some alterations to take a little weight off to start. Anywho, here's the issue. I had the motor tached the other day at the pond at full throttle, it was 8800 rpms with a 14x8 master airscrew plastic prop. I am also running the stock muffler. now that may be great for an aircraft but with these airboats I am looking for a much higher RMP out of it to get top speed. The specs say the motor gets 3HP at 16000 rpms. Now i am looking to get close to 10500 or 11,000 out of it, or higher! A. do any of you think that is possible? B. what type of propeller would get me there? 13x8 12x10? or something else? C. the motor can be run to 20% nitro, but i am running 10-15% nitro. will a higher nitro have any significant increase in the performance of the engine? D. Would an aftermarket Carb be a good option for me? and if so, where do i find such a carburetor. thanks! -MJ
I have 3 of these OS 1.08's Darn good engine. You say you tached it at 8800 but did you drive the boat? What kind of clearence do you have?
