Car body airbrushing - Who does it?
Hi guys, Im looking for a few answers to some questions I have about people painting/airbrushing car bodies for people. What I mean is, are there people that do car body airbrushing professionally? I wouldn't mind getting a touring car body painted up nicely and professionally for my nitro tc for an upcoming State Titles in my area. I live in Australia, so does anybody know who and where I can get this done, and how much it would set me back? Not looking for the best of the best, but somebody that can make a wicked-awesome paint-scheme.

RE: Serpent sparepart
just stock a set or two of arms, always have spur and pinion gears, and a set or two arms steering arms.

They are about the same, but the TZ craps all over the 3.3 on the bottom end, plus I feel it has more power. RPM is about the same, but Id go the TZ.

RE: HPI K5.9 Problems
Could also be a leak in the exhaust area, that will definitely make the engine run very hot.

RE: Time for break-in?
It will definitely take longer to use up a tank than when racing, but time doesnt matter. As long as you go at least 10 tanks running rich, gradually getting leaner towards the end, then you are safe.

I haven't dealt with them personally, but they do a very good job from everything I've heard. Same goes for AB Mods and Murnan Modified.

I think that HPI one is going to be as close as you can get to that black GTR you posted there. Its the stock R35, so not the race version like you're after, but probably as close as you will get before getting one custom made.

RE: What glow plug?
If your engine uses long reach plugs and not standard sized ones, go for the OS LC4. Doesn't matter what brand you use if its not turbo, the seal will be the same. If it is turbo, then it gets a little trickier.
ORIGINAL: motas Hey. Need a glow plug for my picco 28 and was looking at an os 8 but not sure if it will work since its not long reach. Will it work and if not what is best for in australia (hot weather)? Thanks.
How does it die? Does it blow heaps of smoke and just quit? Does it drop in idle speed when you take the plug warmer off? Give us a little more info such as sound and what you can see.

RE: Hyper GPX4
You can't go wrong with an FW, they go fast, but not kit-car fast unless you swap put the motor and go with race parts. Its still a raceworthy car and can hold its own, plus its Kyosho :D

RE: .18tz in a rs4-2
You might need to widen the hole to make the starterbox wheel contact the flywheel, and have a flywheel that is large enough to be close to the bottom side of the chassis, but not go past it and be able to touch the floor. That's about it in a nutshell!

RE: Hyper GPX4
Kyosho has awesome quality no doubt about that, but the GPX4 can be just as fast as a Kyosho RRR ( i know first hand :D ) Yes, the hyper engine pretty much does suck, but it depends on what track you run on - maybe its like mine where any engine that can run is as good as a Nova Flash 12 Tuned :D

RE: 17.5 class racing
OK, Ill definitely go the Novak GTB speedy, and now what would be the better motor out of the options I previously mentioned? Novak SS Pro BL 17.5t Team Epic DUO 2 ROAR Spec 17.5t " " 3 "Monster Horsepower" 17.5t Team Losi Xcelorin Sensored BL 17.5t Im thinking of the Team Epic Duo 3 just simply because of the name! But is it reliable or is there something better?

Hmmm, so the Havoc's have a little 'havoc' inside them? :D I was thinking of the GTB as well, so here are my options. Motors: Novak SS Pro BL 17.5t Team Epic DUO 2 ROAR Spec 17.5t " " 3 "Monster Horsepower" 17.5t Team Losi Xcelorin Sensored BL 17.5t Speedies: Novak GTB Brushed/Brushless LRP Ai Brushless Reverse ESC What would be a good combo out of these? Or would a HobbyWing 17.5 combo be just as good?

RE: Old HPI Nitro RS4 replacement engine
for less than $200, you can get the OS 18TZ - a minimum of 5 times better than the HPI motors! :D Sure it might be a little more expensive, but with all that extra cash you get heaps more fun and a better quality engine!

17.5 class racing
Im a noob to Electric TC and I recently got myself a HotBodies Cyclone and I really want to start racing in the 17.5T class when Im not racing my nitro. So I have a few question before I get into it: For the motor+esc, i plan on getting the Novak Havoc 17.5 brushless combo. I guess it's more than enough for me until I decide to move up a class. With the rubber wheels, how much better would it be if I got one of those tire warmers? So far that's the only thing that has me thinking before I start racing.

RE: Murnan Modified vs RB Mods vs EB Mods
O.O wow all I can say is that Big E must be short for "Big EGO" I mean, how can you push that hard and not expect any kind of retaliation?? Load of BS, and I agree with another poster, I would not want ANY of my engines in his "technically skillfull" hands ^.^ Murnan, AB Mods/Colt4g63, Supertib (Clockworks?), Over-revO, all of there work I have seen (not personally except for AB and Murnan, but in vids) and all of their work is top-notch. Their craftsmanship is near perfect, minus port timings (you can never have perfect timings IMO) Drag mods, Race mods, they are all beautiful and will work perfectly ONLY if the car/truck is setup right from the beginning. I have never seen anybody push their work so violently as Big E, period. Even if you did have a dyno, you completely lost my interest in you when you didnt stop raging on everyone. Everybody tried to say that it helps to have dyno results to show where your work has been most effective, where you can improve and the best place to have that engine running for example. Just my 2 cents. Also, nice to see Murnan on these forums, good stuff!

Just get a good brand name engine design for what you want to do, and go from there. OS make a good variety of engines.
