Hi Dave I been on vacation for the past week, Not near my computer. Just want to thank you again for the great time you show all of us. The only way you could make it more relaxing is if you had recliners for everyone. It was great seeing the friends we met last year & some new ones this year. Please Thank Mike for the Ride. When you get to Wis, Please bring a plane & be our guest. Thanks Again Dave Elsinger

RE: Advice on PST Reaction
Hello I have a Reaction X, One of the better ARF that you will find, ( My opinion ) Went together with no re engineering. Very well built . Started out flying with a P-80 & half way thought the Summer switch to a P-120. We fly off a Grass field & it for easier take off. Handles very well in the air & lands very nice. I fly everything from Skymaster A-10 ( Not minea friends ) to Super Bandits to Boomerangs and so on, This ranks up to one of the easier ones to handle. The Boomerang is also a very nice jet ( jet my $.02 worth ).

RE: Minnesota Jet Rally 2011
Hi Dave Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner ( been on vacation & not near computer ). Paul & myself had a great time. What a thrill seeing Lance's SR - 71 Fly. That alone would be worth the trip. Then the 1 1/2 hour ride in ghe Fairchild ( Please thank Mike again ) What beautiful country, That again would be worth the trip alone. To meet new friends & feel very welcomed. The flying site is great, We are just happy that you changed the date so we could come to enjoy. Looking forward to next year. Thanks again Dave E.

RE: a10 maiden
Hi What a great feeling it is to have the maiden over with. Once the trims were set, it really got gentle. I haven't had my finger shake that much in a long time. Scott has to do some minor things to really make it right ( a little more lead in the nose & more throw in the elevator ). I left the landing gear down ( one less thing to worry about ) It still seemed very stable, even with the strong winds that we had. I was also very supprised that even with the grass field & the P-80 SE in it, it still lifted off in about 400' . I want to thank Scott and Lori again for having faith in me to fly this great plane and of course all the Club members that helped. Dave

Hi Would you be moving it back or forward a Week so it doesn't conflict with Minn & FDL. I just talked to one of my buddies , he felt that there would be 3 - 5 pilots from WI that would attend. If you can't change it this yearmaybe next year. I hear of how beautiful a area this is to have a jet get together. Dave

Hello I also wish it was a week later. Myself & a couple of local friends that fly Jet would attend if it didn't conflict with the Fond du Lac Warbirds event. I don't fly a warbird but it is our home & must help out. I do understand that the date is set. Dave President of the Fond du lac Aeromodelers.

RE: Warbirds & Classics over the Midwest
Hi Brian, The Runway is 1314 feet of smooth grass cut at 5/8" with a fairway mower. It has been said that our field is as smooth as a billiard table. One of our members flys a skymaster F-4 with a 38 lb trust engine and comes off at about 300'. One Member has a BVM F-100 & BVM F-4 With 36 lb trust engines & does very much the same. I fly my MB-339 which is heavy at take off with a 36 lb engine again the same results. You are more than welcome to look for yourself . Thanks Dave

Hi Scott There are a numbe of Motels that are within 3 miles of the field, Country inn - Holiday Inn - Confort Inn, And a few others I know a number of the pilots stay at the Mayville Inn , close to Carl Bachhubers place. If you look on the Midwest west warbirds web site & cleck on lodging, You will see many places to stay. Also Many fine Resturants just minutes away from the field. We have primative camping at the field also. Any other questions , please just ask Dave

RE: Boomerang XL explodes mid-air - anybody else had this happen?
Hello I have a Boomer, Elan , Have built 5 other Boomers for local flyers & 2 other Elans, We fly th heck out of them but I tell everyone that it is a low price airframe , to fly it accordingly. If they want to fly it like a Bobcat, Buy a Bobcat. We have never ( so far ) had one come apart. About 400 flights on one of the Elans and about 300 flights on my Boomer XL. I also have a Bobcat when I really feel that need to yank & bank. For the money they are great. ( Just my opinion )
