RE: Tower Hobbies Uproar 40 build
Well get them workin!! I originally planned to put an eflite power 46 outrunner but now i decided to keep it nitro, this platform is going to be too much of a pain to get batts in there, so thats why I have the outrunner mount on the front im going to have to cut off now. Anyways got the wing partially completed, i'll finish trimming the airplane out once the tail and ailerons on on it, keeping the covering job pretty simple.

wanted a break from the balsa, so instead of building the tail and ailerons, started covering the wing
ORIGINAL: alangranvue
ORIGINAL: DMehalko(DM) I've always been a fan of splat schemes, here are a few skyraiders I did couple years ago
How did you get that splattered look? seems like it would be very hard to cut the covering out like that.
I freehand draw the design, then just take my time with a new #11 blade, not as bad as one might think

RE: GP RV 4 Engine
61fx will be a little heavy, if you want that size motor on it try HorizonHobbys new Evolution .60NX, Same size and weight for the most part as a .46 2stroke. I think im going to toss a saito .62 4s in mine once its built (just got going on it)

RE: Great planes rv4 kit vs Sig
I just started on a GP Rv-4, looks nice and everything is fine as of now, the sig kit will most likely be higher quality, laser cut ribs and such, but i have never had an issue with die cut kits myself. Depends on which kind of airplane you want also, i personally just love the full scale rv's, hence why im building one. Im sure the something extra will be much more aerobatic.
