RE: 2003 Lamborghini Marcielago
No, this particular 2003 is not mine. It belongs to a 24yr old entrepreneur in Ohio, whos a super nice, down to earth guy, whos done really well for himself - Cha-CHING!. He just got the car back from Unique Whips in NY (they customized the car) and he was kind enough to let me have a few pics of the finished product.

Best RTR MT currently made?
What do you think is the best RTR MT on the market? I know everyone has their favorites, and what you intend to use it for matters (race, bash, etc) in deciding what to get, but in general- What do you think is the highest quality, best all-around RTR MT to date? Ive have lots of rc toys but have taken some time off and was looking to get a new RTR MT. I was surprised at all the options that are now available in the MT platform now. I want something thats high quality and doesnt need much, if anything- out of the box. In the end I always find certain things I want to upgrade, but hopefully not to many, and not too fast. What model monster truck is on your current 'wanted' list, and why?

Funny thread. When I first wrote it I had never seen a R/C helicopter fly. Now I am a decent heli pilot with my miniature Aircraft Tempest FAI 90 size. Nothing has changed. I am the only guy to fly it.[:)] Ive actually set the RC stuff to the side to make room for my new/old hobby of motocross. Been riding since 6, but just rediscovered the sport after a long break off. Im sure Ill be back doing RC at some point, as Ive invested too much time/money to just walk away.

Yes, @ the time they were all spares. If I had it to do over again, I think I would just buy two entire kits. Live and learn.

RE: MY STORY: I NEED HELP
You are on the right track now, get a experienced hand to help you in real-life. The learning curve on nitro birds is extremely steep. From the initial building of the helicopter, to the initial flight should really ONLY be done with a experienced hand. Even done like this there can be surprises, with someone who knows their stuff. And without help....well you allready know. Yep, when you have a hot start its easy to leave skids on the inside of your shorts. Thank god you were holding the head when it started up, which is always a MUST.

RE: Iresponsible purchase?
Well, Pilot77- TMooreATX likes it apparently- He wont leave me alone. Post after post, after he dragged it all the way to the top back from page 40 or beyond! It was DEEP- he musta really wanted it back at the top, and hasnt figured out every time he posts on it, it goes BACK to the top of the forum! Seems to me if he wanted it gone, or to go away, he would stop posting on it. Just got off mapquest Mr Moore. From Chattanooga to Cookeville TN is nearly 100 miles and a 2 hour drive, NOT a simple 1 hour drive as you would have people believe. If you want to call me out at least be a man of your word, and not a liar. No way Im driving a 4 hour round trip to teach you to respect people you dont know. If your going to make it to the Marriot in Chattanooga at 2nd st and Broad, you better haul azz in that pick-up truck. Its only 7:43PM now, if you hurry you can be here by 11PM. PUT UP - OR SHUT THE FU$K UP! Maybe in the future you will figure out calling people you dont know "hover Queens" can be hard on your health. Just know, if you show tonight, you are going to be the "scapegoat" for my lifetime of problems. GOOD LUCK. You'll need it.

RE: Iresponsible purchase?
My flight leaves Saturday, and after taking two seperate airplaines to get across the entire country to get to Chatanooga Tenn. I dont intend to spend my last day here on vacation, to drive to your doorstep. I gave you a option- we could have easily met. You declined my offer, didnt you? I bet you were quite surprised to see I actually AM in TENN. huh? Surprise, surprise. Broad Street and second st. I went the distance, but its apparent you arent willing to do the same- and your only a HOUR away! I took two airplaines to get here pal, if you cant drive a hour tonight to drive to Chatanooga, I cant help you. Ive already given you my location, now you want me to drive to you and your buddies, a hour away, TOMMARROW? Get real. You want me to kick my own azz for you too? Meet me out in front of the Marriot Courtyard @ 11PM 10-08-2004 (TONIGHT), thats 3 entire hours from now, Broad street & 2nd @ 10PM. Ill be in a blue jacket, and seeing RED. Hows that for Southern hospitality? Ball is in your court now. If you ever come to Denver, Colorado. I promise if your 1 hour out of Denver, I will be MORE then happy to drive to beat you. I bet my life on it. How about you? I think you have NO idea what your getting into if you come here tonight, Mr. Military. I promise to only maim, and wont kill you..........Unless provoked. Then all bets are off.

Im actually in Chatanooga Tenn. right now. You close? Lets have a face to face. PM me your home telephone number- pussy. Brian (BASKETCASE) a friend of mine? Not quite, more like a aquaintence at a field I used to fly at occasionally. AMA? PLEASE! Get lost you fool, before you get broken. PM that home telephone number- I hope we are close to eachother, I could always use a good barefisted fight. No law-suits to replace your teeth though. DEAL WITH IT. Hover queen? Apparently you arent phychic. I can fly just fine, and didnt make the habbit once I was proficient at flying to tell new=-bes they are hover-queens. Especially people I dont even know, on a thread I dont have any business posting- Like you are and do on this thread. I started this post, so if you want to just post crap, start your own thread- let me know when you have 1500hits on that super informative-cant-live-without thread.

I post on RR all the time, and occasionally at helifreaks, so apparently- you DO need brail! Helifreaks sucks as a forum, so I dont visit but once a month if that @ that site. How do you suggest I take a still photograph that shows my flying? Actually dont answer that- it apparent your just trying to piss me off. Now, why dont you find a thread where your vast r/c helicopter knowledge could do some good rather than clowning someone you dont even know, for apparently- No reason whatsoever. Can you read the dates the posts were written? I didnt bring SH$T back to the top of the forum, Mr. Education. Look at the dates. Now shut your hole.

HEY TMooreATX, you see the guy flying the helicopter in the pictures I just posted? Thats me, imagine that..... So now whats your responce?[:-] If you note WHEN the start of this post was- you will SEE it is almost a year old! Ive been flying it myself, by myself for alomst a year now, smart guy.[8|] It no wonder I dont like to associate with fellow RC heli guys, with comments like that. BTW- it IS a FAI model Tempest, not 3D, and it is flown as such, so save your comments about "why isnt it inverted?" This thread really brings out the PRICKS of RCU doesnt it? The BLIND too apparently, sorry the flying pictures werent posted in "brail" TMooreATX.

RE: the bad boy
ScottyB, I am interested in where I could obtain a similar outfit as yours ScottyB. Ive been doing all sorts of R/C through the years- although boats and airplanes, are the only two types of R/C Ive yet to explore. Ive not much interest in airplanes as I fly helicopters, but your boat peaked my interest. If you could give me the WWW links at the least, for the manufactures of boat hull and engine, I could find the rest out. I had a couple years ago looked at a Ballentine 'American flag' limited edition boat, but the link doesnt open anymore and I am loooking at maybe getting me one now. Thanks for the information, I appreciate it.

RE: Dirty rappy, Is there a better way?
Use a tooth-brush and de-natured alcohol to break the exhaust oil and claen the whole ship up nice. I do this in addition to using a exhaust deflector it works like a charm. Simply stay away from drowning the elctronics in it.

Yep, I am smiling....Got a great BIG "hover smile"! How couldnt I be happy with such a sucessful first flight. This helicopter hovers rock solid, even the fuel in the main tank just sits there.....A very good indication of lack of vibration, I had some old helicopter guru told me. That hughes 500 looks GREAT. Bet its got a pretty cool sound to it also, given your engine choice.

If I can put my new Tempest FAI helicopter up in the air on its first flight, and remove my hands from the transmitter & the helicopter just sits there, does that mean my trims and set-up is correct?[:)] The pictures are a bit grainy... RE: lost in space
Hope you find it. Heres a story to lessen the blow. You werent the first, or probably the last, to lose a RC aircraft. Maybe some humor form my story might ease you pain. Sorry to hear of the loss. [:o] Back in high school before I ever had a RC, a friend of mine had a pretty nice trainer airplane. He lived in a trailer park and was a pretty good pilot. He would use the small tarmac street that the cars used to drive on as a runway, stand on top his trailor, and fly it in big circles around the park. I would give him the "all clear' so he knew no cars were coming, and he would land right where he took off from. Long story short. He did this regularly for quite a while (year or longer) but one day he got locked out of his radio controls when the plane was flying level, and steady, and straight eastbound, at about 25 MPH, and 100ft of elevation.......and away it went. NEVER found it. We know for a fact it cleared the entire trailer park, but no idea after that....Probably ended up in some farmers wheat field, and was discovered long after it flew away. Looking back it was incredibly stupid, and dangerous to fly like he did, but at 16-18 years old it was a riot. I dont think anyone thought much else about it except he was good enough to take off, fly in circles, and land safely over a long period of time, and it was really fun to watch. Aside from a missing airplane no other mishaps ever took place, thankfully.
