RE: KMP Cessna Skymaster
Put a piece of thin model plywood on each wing at CG, held in place with tape. It will not affect the CG. Now you have a strong point to put your balance machine against. I have two 91 four strokes on my bird and had to put a large hunk of lead in nose cowling to balance. Good luck, Dale Campbell

RE: KMP Cessna Skymaster
I built one to fly and the other to hang in my office to look at. The one in my office I put a instrument panel, an interior and total paint job to match my full scale aircraft. Dale

RE: Great Planes Seawind
I have 9 model seaplanes I now fly off water and have been flying off this lake for 50 years. The GP Seawinds is by far the hardest one I have getting off water. I have a private lic. and have flown full scale cub on floats and Lake Renagade 250 off lakes in Florida 10 years ago. I now own a Cessna 337H twin full scale I fly. Dale Campbell

RE: Great Planes Seawind
If you read my posting, I said I flew the Seamaster 3 times on the same chop with no problems that the Seawinds could not handle. I fly the Seamaster in all kind of chop and I never have a problem. Dale Campbell

RE: Nitroplanes Seawind
I tried another take off on water with my GP Seawinds. It was a little choppy and it bounced in the air before it was ready to fly. It stalled and cartwheeled back in at 3 feet over water and broke the left wing. Thats it for this summer on that bird. I got out my Ace Sea Master and flew 3 times on the same chop with no problems. I think I will buy my Nitro Planes Seawinds now. Dale Campbell

RE: Great Planes Seawind
That is not the cracking we are talking about. That looks like it got bumped. The cracks we all have, is at the bottom of vertical stabilizer were it meets the fuselage, just forward of the rudder. Dale Campbell

RE: Great Planes Seawind
On the wing floats I added. Look at the bottom of the wing tip. Do not go larger than the bottom of tip. Like I said the tips I made work fine. Nitro- planes also makes the Seawinds. They have larger wing tips and probably work fine. Dale Campbell

RE: Great Planes Seawind
The wing tip floats I made are 1 1/4" thick by 7" long by 1 3/4" high. I used a 1" thick, light weight foam for the core, covered with thin balsa. I used velcro at front and back so I could remove them any time I wanted. I got the idea from the floats on my Seamaster. They are also held on with velcro. Dale Campbell

RE: KMP Cessna Skymaster
I finished my KMP 337 model to look like the full size 337H I own. The only problem I found with this model is the fiberglass between side windows is very weak and cracked when I was handling fuselage. I added fiber and resin between all side windows and solved that problem. Dale Campbell
