RE: Can I retrofit tem?he traxxas Blast with a 2.4 or 75mhz syst
if it uses a regular Rx in the boat, you sure can. either of the 2 will work. my preference would be the 2.4Ghz. Dan.

RE: air radios for boats
ORIGINAL: twoolley08 title says it all, would an air radio jr xp6102 fm work on a boat? or would a futaba 7c 2.4 ghz work in a boat?
yes the JR XP6102 FM would work, however you can't use it for any land based R/C. 72Mhz FM frequency is dedicated for Air only. if you were to use the 7c 2.4Ghz than you are ok. Dan.

RE: Is it possible to upgrade a toy boat to 2.4 mhz?
ORIGINAL: surffotoguy Thanks Dan for the info. Can you briefly explain what the Tx and Rx  is?
sure can, the Tx is the Transmitter, and the Rx is the Receiver. like Don said, make sure that each boat have the Rx (receiver) and the ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) separate... it a bit more expensive. May not be worth it if you need to buy an ESC for each boat. Dan.

RE: Is it possible to upgrade a toy boat to 2.4 mhz?
.
if all the boats have a basic Tx and Rx you sure can switch them to the Tactic 2.4 Dan.

RE: 1.25 v nickel-metal hydride Battery storage
like mentioned, keep them charged. NiMh cells should not be dropped below 1 volt and NiCd not below .85 volts. todays NiMh (good quality) will keep 80% of their capacity after 6 months and some up to a year. Dan.

RE: aeromarine boats
yamahatech, if its an older boat, yes it is possible there is no label inside but if you bought the hull new, they should all have the Aeromarine label laminated inside. best way to find out is call Aeromarine and ask them when they started putting their label inside all of their hulls. Dan.

RE: AquaCraft U-18 Miss Vegas Hydro Thread_Make it Fast!
richen your HSN another 1/8 of a turn out, you may have to repeat the step one more time. The slight ambient temperature change (air, humidity etc) will affect the needle, the engine can run fine for 5 tanks than there is a temp change (most of the times we don't feel it but the engine does) and it can either now be too lean or too rich. thats the fun of nitro engines. Dan.

RE: prop rework
just to elaborate a bit more on Ron's explanation, 12 are low lift ideal for submerged drive... and deep V's 16 are high lift props for riggers and hydro's 17 are the highest lift prop... for riggers and hydro's V9 are moderate lift suitable for riggers, mono's and cat 20 are moderatley high lift suitable for riggers 21 are high lift for riggers and hydro's 22 are high lift
