DLE 20 better exaust
I`m thinking of a better DLE 20 exaust, I recently purchaced to replace a ys110, I only wish to have the best results and if possible without too much noise I have seen some older posts of some guys making a DIY beer can mufler, but I think it`s for bigger engines... or not? Thanks in advance Daniel Z

RE: YS 110fz lacks of power
Ok, today I bench tested the engine again, with the new Orings and gaskets (and ring) 20% wildcat fuel 15x8 @ 9100-8800 (not stable) 16x4w @ 9900-9600 The only thing not looking good is the diaphragm, its not flat, a little bulged, anyway I can have decent transition Is this thing enough to steal my missing RPMs?, I know Chip said it does, but I want to know everyone experience Thanks, Daniel

RE: YS 110fz lacks of power
No, I had about the same 8700 rpms before , that´s why I hoped an improvement with the ring replacement. Changing the valve cover gasket made it a little better (9000-9200 peak) I`m just over 500 ASL, have tried 30% while ago but I haven´t noticed changes in performance (dont remember tach readings) I thought my plane should be on the overpowered side at 7,7lb with this engine that`s why I`m scratching my head Will watch the rear disc also, thanks still4given Thanks again for everyone

RE: YS 110fz lacks of power
Well , then I`m missing about 500 RPMs not 1000 as I thought, do you agree? I have a 16x4w and a 16x7 apc props , will replace the orings, change props, and tach the engine again I have a MAS 16x6 , Does it worth?

RE: YS 110fz lacks of power
I`m using wildcat 20/20, the regulator diafragm seems a little distended but at 4k is ok and transition is good, I will try a new one anyway (thanks wcmorrison) I`m flying a 3,5kg or 7,7lbs plane (Aerokevlar Panther) and I want more power for vertical lines, and pulling out of torque rolls Seen posts of people with ys110`s puting 10k+ on a 16x4 or 15x8 is not unususal and is 20% more than mine! I will change orings too, Any ideas will be well recieved. Thanks for your help

I have a Ys 110 working with good idle and transition but giving me about 8700 rpms with a 15x8apc, using new ring, so I`m a little disapointed Changed the valve cover gasket and improved to 9100 rpms , I still think It can be better , all the rest af the engine is very well mantainned any ideas? RE: RIP, Mayhem......
This size has been taken by electric or gas recently, Maybe take a look to the 3D HobbyShop Viper Perhaps it is convertible to glow, also aeroworks have some 60-90 and 90-120 planes

RE: Fliton store
Mainly the Cowl, secondary, wheel pants, wing tube, canopy and hatch. I can use other plane parts except for the cowl Man, I loved the plane, and there is no other 50-60 sized airplane I know of with similar performance Nostalgic pics... [:(]

RE: Inverted Harrier...Words of wisdom??
Also, when you enter the inverted harrier to fly it in a straight line, automaticaly add a bit of left rudder (right when inverted) or you will fly in a circle to the left... why? because when you are inverted right thrust is LEFT thrust making torque worse, think about it, all planes I have flown do the same.

RE: Knife edge Problem with Yak
Everyting points to a very aft CG, check also aileron neutral position (not "flapped", nor "spoileroned"), when you finish with these, mix the rest out

I use a Saito 91 and it´s perfect for me! In your options I would choose the os 70 ultimate mainly because of weight, so, use also light equipment

RE: What do y'all want?
Victor: Washout may take out wing rock but when you flip the plane wash out turns into washIN, so It may be better upright and worse inverted, I have done something very close to your objectives (avatar plane), and diferent airfoils on root and tip have taken all the wing rock out and if you have limitations on CF please use it in the landing gear because I think is where you can have greater savings in weight

RE: What do y'all want?
I can recomend to you to use diferent airfoils in the root and the tip of wings, I had great sucsess with 12% root to 16% tip, this can make your plane stall the root first thus no tip stall and smooth harriers, and it allows you to taper the wing to have better roll rate and snaps, with big chord at the root and good taper you can easy achieve more than 700 sq/in in the surface Good luck!

RE: What do y'all want?
Tall fuse for KE, legs installed on the bottom not in the middle of fuse to save weight, a 14-16% airfoil to fly slow but still glides, and the most difficult... wings capable of rock free harriers AND snaps

Fliton inspire 60 CG
I´m a little confused about the CG on my inspire, it flys well but shows all the signs of a to forward CG (nose in at landing, inverted 45° needs correction, trim up for level flight, too flat upright harrier) but, I´m on the aft position recomended (about 6´) where are you balancing yours? Thanks!

16x4w APC for 3d or 15x8 APC for a mixed flight, I have also tested a 16x6 Mas, a 17`prop is too much

RE: How to GO LIGHT on this plane??
all TruBlu02 says, and use a 3A regulator with lipos, you can use 2s 700 mah (very light) reg at 6v means more speed and power for the servos, and you can charge at the field very quick, also it is possible to share lipos with rx and foamys as a foamy is much more stress for the lipo is good to test and check them that way. I have used 5-6 gms servos for throttle with no problems at all for years, just put them away from the engine anyway, In the landing gear is where you can save the most with CF

RE: Your biggest
I saw once Quique setting the radio for a new Ptihon 100cc, and he uses different expo (more to the right) I think it was because of P factor, to get the same feel on both KE, I know it is not a pattern plane but the guy sure knows how to setup a plane!
