actually now that you mention it, i just inspected the engine again. the rearing bear has a slight rattle, i was exaggerating. but the bottom of the cylinder has something going on that could explain the damage on the piston... I haven't even ran through my 4th gallon yet.. some people have ran about 20 gallons on these :( so sad. I will update with pics

OS .18TM Piston "damage?"
well my OS.18tm has been sitting since mid summer 2010 in my room... last time it was ran it was giving me headaches, it would be a pain to start, and it would randomly stall at WOT. I decided to open it up today and noticed alot of black fluid between the front bearing and flywheel and under the crankcase. in addition to that, the rear bearing rolls very ruff and sounds like it is rusted. but the most astonishing thing is what is going on with my piston. what is this?

yeah man, just make this a lesson, dont buy used stuff, only do for half the price, and it looks pretty new thou. is te engine fine? did the previous owner break it in, because if its fk'd then a new engine is $150+. i bought a used revo for 300$ here, it was bashed the hell out of......and go it with a cooked engine, i was so pissed!!!!! my first real RC, sold to me by a liar..but now its running w/ ups and enjoying the hell out of it!!!!!!!!!!

true Hillfinger, when your clutch starts breaking, upgrade, i got a 18Tm on me with stock clutch and a pin fell of the flywheel, the shoes keep snapping off....and breaking..i was thinking fo a 3 shoe clutch..might do a better job

good idea, i'll use a sharpie, the dried crazy glue didnt let the dye stick. the Flash made it look very orange , then i guess thats its true colour, wondering why the wing didnt came out as orange thou, they were same colour, the bright yellowish

i tried plugging the blue wire into the A5, it's just too hard to do it i chopped it off and made my own wire for the A5 out of some wire my brother had for arts, but i hate the ez start, so i went glow igniter and pull start. ah i feel better, OS plugs are very good, the single LC3 that came stock with the engine last me like more then half a gallon, and so did all the A5s i have
