What's the best first timers plane?
Chris - I would vote for the GWS SlowStick. For about $150 or even less if you have the parts around, you can be up and flying. Everyone who flys mine (even the seasoned glow pilots) come away with a smile on their face. With an 720 mah NiMH battery pack you can easily fly for 15 minutes on a single charge. Check this thread on the E-Zone. Some of those folks are even using the SlowStick as an aerial camera platform. Joining Carbon Fiber Tubing
What is the best way to join the ends of CF tubing? I would like to join two pieces at an angle to support the the wings on my parkflyer. In the past, I have used a bent piece of aluminum tubing that slip fit the outside diameter of fiberglass rods. The entire assembly was then epoxied together. Any ideas? Thanks. Dave
