RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat
Greetings All... Earlier posts on here say the engine cowl diamenter is 190mm. (7.48 in) However "Troy Built Models", who now sell parts for KMP/ESM says its 8 in. Can anyone clarify the actual dimensions of the engine cowls? Thank you, Dave

Maiden Flight...Ziroli Bearcat with Saito 450R
Greetings All, After 2 years of building, I finally flew the maiden flight on my F8F. I must say I am very pleased with the 450R as a match for this airframe. Here's the 3rd flight... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FOKM9iC1Io

RE: Maiden Flight...Ziroli Bearcat with Saito 450R
I am using the benchmark prop size (zinger 22X12) with byron 15% nitro 20% oil (blend of syn and castor) I am getting about 6000 rpm. The engine has about 3.5 hours total run-time so far. I'm not sure I will ever get the 7000 rpm they stated they would get with the benchmark prop.

RE: Hellcat Build with 250cc Radial
Lou, Great! I will stay with the one large tank. I saw your Bearcat first flight video so I will definitely comply with your word of caution. Thanks.

RE: Hellcat Build with 250cc Radial
Lou, I am building the standard scale Ziroli Bearcat using Robart retracts. Do you remember how the single bottle performed with the Robarts on your Bearcat? The Sierra gear you retrofitted on your F8F looks great! Your work is excellent. Also thanks for the photo help. Here are some pics of my progress.

RE: Hellcat Build with 250cc Radial
Hey Lou, Are you still working on the Hellcat? Question for you... How many gear cycles do you get with using the one Robart Air Tank?

Thanks for sharing the Bearcat video. Nothing like the feeling after a successful first flight. Looking forward to your Hellcat progress. Dave

RE: Hellcat Build with 250cc Radial
Hey Lou, Do you have any video of your Bearcat? I'm in the process of building a Z-Bearcat and have not seen one fly yet. Nice job on the F-15. Dave

RE: *Airtronics RD8000 2.4 GHz*
To Mike Greenshiels, I just purchased the RD8000 2.4 and started to program and convert all my aircraft. The first thing I wanted to do was to name all my airplanes with the 3 character naming function. I followed the manual instructions on page 28. After pushing the function button twice the NAM did not come up. After trying a few things I tried taking it out of the basic menu and it worked. The manual leads you to believe it should stay in the basic menu and even has a picture of it. Should the NAM come up in the basic menu or is my particular radio not configured right? Thank you, Dave Z

RE: Everything Radial Engines
Attention all you Radial heads out there!! I would like to install the Saito R325 in the Jerry Bates 80" Bearcat. The engine will fit in the cowl. Dose anybody know if that engine has been used in a similar size war bird? I've only seen Stearman's and that un-cowled Sea Fury on YouTube. I dont' want or need it to be overpowered... Just a little faster than scale.... You know... A good looking low pass. Thanks for the help. Dave
