RE: Blade CX-2
LOTS of SIM for you ! it happend to me but with my walkera 22e . is a 3d 6ch very difficult to fly. small electric collective pitch are very hard to get stable thanks to the size. i downgrade to the CX2 and is perfect to start learning but wont teach too much since CX2 is coaxial and does not have the tendance to drift like single rotor collective. after i get thru my walkera 22e some inverted and loops I move to a Raptor Titan with a OS 50 engine. and that beast is the easiest heli to hover like a super big CX2 much easier than small electrics than CP and Walkeras.

1- floats and skis are very easy to mount GWS have few ones that snap into wheel wire 2- yes you can use lipo without any mod just take out a little jumper on the RX. (she flights exellent with stock battery) 3- I dont think there is a single person here that would not like his or her SuperCub. the best first plane ever made. big size for a foamy. very powerfull stock motor. can handle some wind. hard enough and easy to repair and mod.

RE: Blade CX-2
i have being a year now with my CX2 and never bling anithing. I have post this few time in the past and is my personal opinion. remember the CX2 is like a trainer almost a toy grade heli. dont spend money on bling your CX2 you will never have any diference in flight performance that worth the money !! if you go all aluminum upgrade heli will be too heavy that means replace motor for better ones and maybe a new battery for more flight time .. so when you finish spending money in all blings you could have a second a better heli !! got my point. instead of all blings I move to my walkera #4 then Walkera 22e, now I am with my HeliMax 450mx and my Raptor Titan OS 50 . the CX2 is an exellent begginer heli and I personaly still playing with mine on my home and in front of my home where I can not take my BIG baby. everithing stock in a year I never break anithing beside skids and blades this heli is very hard and can handle some crashes without problem all those bling just dont worth the money. the unly upgrade that worth for me are the xtreme skids found on ebay for 6 bucks !! they will never break again !!

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread
ORIGINAL: 1320Fastback Alright so I disassembled my plane again and moved the ESC to the front and re-soldered my connections and shortened the motor wires to the minimum; then I moved the RX to the rear right where the antenna goes out of the cabin. Turned on TX and installed a freshly charged 8cell. The plane is in a work stand without the wing on and I let it run at mid throttle which I think was about full throttle with the stock RX, during this time I moved the ele,rud controlles as if I was flying but did not have the arms connected. After about 5 minuets it starts freaking out (ME TOO), the motor stops and the servos go to full lock and then jitter all over the place. Heres where it gets interesting, I turned off the TX and turned it back on immediatly and everything was fine for about another 4 minuets then the same thing happened, I also noticed that the power switch on the TX now does not turn it off. I think I was sold a bum TX but am not sure, I am going to email the seller and see what they think. How about you guys?
crystals are well tight ? when the plane freaks out (and you too) you check the ESC and the RX to see if they were HOT? what battery you are using ? why your TX at half thrutlr is the same like stock TX at full. you are not suppouse to run the motor with the prop at full thrutle with the plane stationary that will pull a lot amount of AMPS and could burn something. how many amps is the ESC and how many amps is the BEC on the ESC? how many amps pull the servos ? you are using a GWS esc? if is a GWS 1cs-480 you install the heat sink? batteries in TX are good? if you have a SIM and cable connect the TX and use the calibration on the SIM and check if you see pulse on diferent channels or in all of them. the ESC should not be close to RX, ESC emmit noise and and could affect RX.. reset the TX pregram for SC and reprogram again and dont use anything at 100% like EPA, EXPO, try on low rate at 75% then set the high rate at 85 or 90 % if you have too much EPA on a servo that could not hold toomuch can damage the ESC I dont know what else I can tell you !! :( if everithhing still good change the TX with the vendor and the RX ! you dont have any mor RC's so you could checj your TX on another RX and vice-verca RX on other TX . go to a LHS and ask them to check the TX and RX
ORIGINAL: 1320Fastback Makes sense the batt connection is used for glow. The first time it crashed the control surfaces worked only after it had hit the ground; the second time they didnt work untill the battery was removed and then reinstalled. I know what you are saying about the battery connectors and do check them every time I fly. It range checked ok, the manual says antenna down and 20-25 paces out; I did antenna down and was atleast 30 paces out with no problems. I think I am going to take it all apart (except removing servos) and check everything again. Thanks for the help.
Ok here is a stupid answer. does the reciver works without the battery pack ???? did you crash with your new settup ? what cause you to crash ?
Got my SC in the mail today and it may be defective. The rudder servo hunts back and fourth, see sawing with no command! Either the servo is defective or the receiver / ESC module. Turn on the tx, put in the battery and it moves like it is haunted! But after about 20 mins or so it stopped. Should I take a chance and fly it or call support for a replacement? Also - I had to disconnect the top and bottom ACT sensors from the module. There is no documentation whatsoever stating how to reconnect. For example, I don't want to plug the top into the bottom, or vise-versa. Any ideas, guys?
check the servo plug if the conection is loose will do that I have the slo-v that use the same servos and reciver and when was new do the same thing I give a push on servo plugs and never do it again. for the ACT leave it unplugged. they will give you problems !! sometimes they got confuse when landing or when takeoff also at low alttitud and depending on the terrein the will work wierd .. just dont use it !! ACT = CRAP

I really want that particular model and some good feedback from ya might be all i need to go ahead and push me over the edge and make me get it.
I just got the TX today and am totally excited about installing it; I am still waiting on the ESC to arrive and will continue to fly with the trim only controller untill then. This TX is lightyears ahead of the stock SC TX; the digital trim, expo, dual rates, ect get me all giddy inside. I was going to install flaps and ailerons now also but am short on $$ so that will have to wait; but not long. Will take lotsa pics of the install.
you can do flapperons. thats are flapps and ailerons in the same flaper of the wing and you will still have large ailerons that are need on the SC to work propertly. your new TX is computarized as i assume so it will you allow to mix channel 1 and 6 so with the stick will move like ailerons and with the flap knob will act like flaps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaeJFJFCEmI

zooplane : GWS esc's are cheap and good. this one's will work perfect on the SC look at the ics-480 no break ,, depending on the battery you are using ics480 up to 8cell .. and for lipos on brushed motors http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id=V573706 RCSUPERCUB : I use a spray can from a flower shop to paint foam called Design Master. but the "Krylon Fusion" have more range on colors and can be found easyer like auto zone, walmart, western auto etc... http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion_for_plastic/ dont use PZ piper j-3 decals are too small for the winshield and the windows on the SC will look ugly I see some1 that do that and I really dont like will take oute the good scale look of this model. I just pill off my decals wash them with wather and soap and leave with soap until i paint the cub then I remove the soap and put in wet and with a credit card squeez the water out will be a perfect job and very easy or buy a SC decal set use the windows and do your own sheme with some color vinyls

I have try lots of time with my 6exa and never got it work . 1- the crystal is welded dont try to pull out you will damage the board 2- the number in the RX crystal is not tha same that says in the back of the TX i dont know why but are diferent same with my aerobird swift. I dont know why HZ do that but the RX and crystal does not accept any other than original TX. also I have try deferent TX highband, low band, am, fm ,pcm, ppm with the same frequenzy that says in the RX crystal and non works. if you figure out how to do it let me know please. I was with diferent electronics but since I got a new GWS corsair I remove all electronics to use on my new plane and went back to original. Slo-V !!!!!!! NEVER !! reapet NEVER buy that crap !!!!is the worst plane ever made by parkzone ! that thing is very weak and fragil . the fuselage rod damage on every 2 or 3 flew, the main wing is like paper and get damage onlu by carrying with you. I have replace the Fuselage rod 3 times without crashing or anithing just the torque of the motor loose the fibers and start twsting side to side . I try a small 8 cell and the speed bend the wing and burn the motor. can,t climb more than 50 to 75 feet and with drop module instaled no more than 30 feet. dont waste your money in the V is a crap instead get a Slow Stick if you want a slo flyer. and after Flew the SuperCub you will found the V very boring did I tell you for fly outside have to 0 wind a little gust and V cant handle it. guapoman: is your TX can mix channel you will like the flaperons is very cool to land with flappers down the plane almost parachute down very slow. when I was using my flaperons I was with a cheap flyzone ESC and I notice the same not enough power now that I am back with stock is more powerfull again not a big diference but I can notice some. for anyone. I want to move to an APC prop some1 knows wich adapter will fit the shaft (is 4mm?) also what is the diameter of the hole on APC electrics prop. any help here!!

hello guys I just went back to all original electronics no more ailerons on my cub I just want my drop module back and my combat module. I recive yesturday my new Corsair and need all of the 4 servos installed on my SC. I am glad that I will back to have fun with my stock SC droping lots of things and fight with my neigbore SC. I will let ailerons and more agressive flights to my other planes that all of them have ailerons. can someone would be able to check your SC and tell wich servo arms goes were? one is longer than the other I assume that the longer one will be for the elevator I check them and with the shorter does not have too much throw on elevator and in the rudder the shorter seems to be fine. but just to be sure can some1 tell me please. barlowe: the Parkzone Trojan will be an exellent choise for you and is under your budget 249.99 free shipping. http://www.hobbyzone.com/rc-planes-parkzone-t-28-trojan-rtf.htm or if you want to upgrade your TX you can buy any ARF plane (GWS have lots of cool ones) they are lots of ARF (almost ready to fly) that you can buy for no more than 30 to 50 bucks, get a good TX any programable one like Futaba or JR a Spektrum will be fine. and use that radio system in all of your plane. if you dont have the experience to know wich electronics combine for a ARF you have the option for a PNP (Plug-n-Play) that only need Radio system (TX and RX) and get a good TX with 2 RX and your done. 1 RX for your new PNP and one RX for your SC fly both with same TX. check out in the link I post for the PNP models too.
ORIGINAL: cjg Brandon, if you want to stay with a "stock" type battery, I find that the cheapbatterypacks.com is a good source. Try the 8 cell and I think you will like it. Not everyone is chomping to run Lipos. I have them for my helicopter and T-28, but I still run my SC with NIMH. Why? They fly fine, they are safer and more durable, and they are cheaper. Besides, I already have 4 of them, and might as well wait till they go bad until I move to LIPO. I save my LIPO for my aircraft that need them.
i am with you. i have 8 packs 4 7cell and 4 8cell y buy from ebay tenergy 8cell pack for $40 shipped 2 7cell came in my SC and 2 came in my Swift that made 8 packs i made the ailerons and just with 7cell have enough power to make rolls, with 8cell at full thrutle the SC just climb too much ( i dont want to know how will climb the SC at full throtle on lipo 11.1v) too much for the SC. I use lipos only in my Dynam Focus and my helimax 450mx. that they need them. I know SC is an exellent plane the best for begginer !! but remember is a trainer. and the configuration on this plane was not made to go too fast because instead of going fast is going to start climbing. my opinion is save the money of the lipo wait a little and get a second better plane there are lots of RTF that came with lipos and brushless for less than $150 I got my Dynam Focus for $100 and is the best plane I have, full of power 3D capable hovers, barrel rols, unlimited inverted, outside loops etc. and just 100bucks RTF. 2 lipos and a good charger = more than $100 what you think I got a good point ?
