no rudders for my hotspot (look at my gallery) and never needed them...plus you have nothing to flatter in high speeds [:D] some people install the rudder servos in the fuse instead on the fins. my 2c

RE: Which large hawk?
yes we run also a p160sx with the single stock fuel tank and we get 7min of flight with lot of reserve. No problem. Dont use more tanks. There is a reason for the single one there. Its close to the C.G. so the jet has the same tendencies from takeoff to landing. With more tanks further forward the jet will get heavier and harder to rotate and take off,and will change tendencies while you burn fuel and become more tail heavy. There is no reason for extra tanks IMHO . just land on 7 min refuel and takeoff! my 2c

RE: Best ARTF Rafale
every company?...i dont think so. For Example skymaster/xtreme jets rafale is NOT 160 size airframe There are two 160 size rafales as far as i know out there . www.adjets.com and BVM . Both are the same size. Both need alot of work.AD more scale (rivets) BVM more expensive. There was also a company called WJM was making a same size rafale that disappeared .

RE: Which large hawk?
Hi James im not insulting anyone or making negative propaganda . Im talking as a modeller my self,to other modellers looking for feedback. Actually the feedback i give in here can be always crosschecked with photos or with the links i provide. So this are facts not just feedback. When i can not excuse a comment i dont make one.For example i did not comment the flying abilities of this model because i have never flown one. Im here in this forum the last 8 years first as a modeller and then as a dealer. I dont see this members as wallets or a target group .But as my kind of people with the same hobby.Nothing personal. So you are welcome to comment SkyMaster any time, any day. We promise to take it onboard and improve are products. Best Regards George

RE: Which large hawk?
Hi Craig, SkyMaster is a Hawk ,FEJ is something that looks like a Hawk. For the ones that pay attention to the detail and have seen photos of the full scale, they can easily notice the fat ,out offscale ,air intakes of the FEJ hawk, the wrong nose and canopy lines. SkyMaster is better by far specially when it comes to compare the cocpit details or the landing gear quality that will standup easily to hard landings. But looks or ugliness its a personal thing i guess and some don't bother. Also dont know there progress in there pipe failures http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8967856/anchors_8967856/mpage_1/key_fly%252Ceagle%252Cjet%252Cpipe%252Cfire/anchor/tm.htm Nothing to worry about for the SkyMaster pipe tho. Plus the SkyMaster bellmouths have changed and now all are per jetcats design and standards http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10698000/anchors_10698000/mpage_1/key_bell%252Cmouth%252Cjet%252Ccat/anchor/tm.htm#10698000 Entire building page is here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9401509/mpage_10/key_skymaster%2Cbig%2Chawk/tm.htm I havent fly the FEJ one but here is a maiden flight i did for a customer on the Large SkyMaster Hawk... p160sx is plenty ... my2c

Hi there David, this heavy duty RDS looks better...my rudders is tall so i might use two RDS servos in it and mach them from my powerbox ! ..is there a place to find this in stock? RE: totally enclosed linkages..looking for troubles
Hi there John i have no space left below the rudder [&o] If i had i would go the way you described or with torque tube. By the way servo center dont have to be inline with rudders hinge ,the further aft servo is placed the more throw is used and less stress. Cheers mate

RE: totally enclosed linkages..looking for troubles
hi there Sean, im aware of RDS but dont know how slop free they can be. They require a wide gap to work and dont know how tight the clearance will be after a number of flights or get bigger and cause flatter when centre.. plus i feel that RDS kills servos torque .. and im in a need to use a 25kg of torque servo and hoping to set it 100% travel each way thank you

Thank you wojtek and Thomas.. im aware of BVMs Rafale setup, but in my case i have no space left to go in the fuse for a torque tube ,thats why its out of the equation[&o]

totally enclosed linkages..looking for troubles
..ok here it goes ..i try to hide my rudder servo.. what option we have for a totally enclosed linkage setup? Im not interesting in a torque tube solution (torque tube= extended rod on the hinge line in the fuse) or for "flap" setup with one side to be the hinge. Im looking for center hinge set up for simetrical move with the servo in the fin. How about the swingees ? Have try them on a small glow but for jet use is there any heavy duty edition out there im not aware of? ...or im looking flatter troubles here cause might grow a slop? How the full scale set up theres? Thanx for your time and the info in advance gents.
