RE: My dad gave me a good deal
Dont waste your time on the Firestorm little man... I have one let me tell you whats junk from the factory. The front bulkhead is caca one hit to the front end at more the 5 mph and SNAP I went through 3 before making a custom aluminum skid plate/stiffener for it. The G3.0 is ok once you get it to start. Mine was uber cold hearted. Many many pullcord blisters. Also they have a clutch problem I've heard of many people having my dilemma 10 tanks=bye bye clutch.

RE: mid-tank lean question...
As you start off the "air" which is being "pumped" in by the exhaust system is able to distribute pressure evenly across the fuel in the tank as well as having higher head pressure to begin with (head pressure is in reference to the height of a column of fluid). As you burn the fuel off your head pressure decreases, and once you get to the "shelf" in the tank the air pressure in the tank is no longer working on 6 surfaces it's pushing on like 9 only one of which is the top of the fuel. Resulting in less force being applied to it. I've heard good and bad about perry pumps. I'd do a mid tank mod first. Or do a header tank. You'll get 25-50% longer runtimes here.

RE: New to Savages and have some ?
Just to supplement what Vigilante said, The RTR does come with the 14 and 17 mm hubs and wheel nuts. You should have no problem running your other tires. The fuel will be OK. But I recommend a 30% I personally prefer Trinity Platinum. Servo wise, Find a servo for your steering thats at LEAST 150 oz/in minimum @6.0V I run a JR Z9100T 370 oz/in. as for throttle you can use the stock steerng servo for the throttle but I prefer my JR Z590M for throttle. In regards to a radio you can pick up spektrum DX 2 and 3 for pretty cheap now... I would definitely run a fail-safe I'd hate to see 500 bucks go running away at WOT and find something hard. ~Doc~

RE: Just sold the savy x?
If It was me, and I sold one of my Savy's to buy an "on road" car, I'd look into something which will be able to put up with the rocks and debris. My Nitro 4tec was not so fortunate... not that I care about the pile of traxxas doo-doo, but so far my on road cars (save the TB-02) haven't faired to well. Small rocks and debris will be the end of me. Stay away from belts if you plan on actually running on you're street or find a sealed drivetrain. Shaft driven would be best. If you plan to race and hit a local track then I say get yourself whatever you like....... .02

RE: TT01 or TB02? Differnces, which is better?
I have the TB-02 and when i bought it I was in the market for the TT. According to my LHS's Tamiya Guru the TB was a better buy if I had the Electronics. It's got oil shocks, an aluminum prop shaft, motor heatsink, and you can sell the silver can that comes with it to the GT-3 tamiya guys(they'll pay 40-50bucks). There are also some hop ups out there for it. So far my TB-02 is the $hit it drifts like a dream. My .02 ~Doc~

RE: 3 speed woes
ORIGINAL: dhyde79 I'll be tearing mine down tonight to figure out why the hell I don't ever shift into 1st gear, it's always 2nd & 3rd (and to put the high speed 3rd kit in finally) any ideas as to what might cause it not to drop into 1st? it ALWAYS sounds like it's bogging hard off the line and takes off, and will shift once, and that shift is off like a rocket....which the gear ratio between 1st & 2nd shouldn't be that huge should it?
I've had the same problem since day one with my 3spd.

RE: Product Warning
Here's an update on the Pro Match RC hump pack. I got the new one only to find that the cell with the leads soldered to it had no battery bars connecting it to the other 4 cells in the pack. Pro Match is once again sending me a new pack, According to the lady on the phone she was going to have one specifically made for me to ensure that it'd be right this time. Also she said they had another report like my first. They've since cycled all of the aa cells they have to find the bad ones....apparently GP gave them a large quantity of bad cells......anyway once I get it we'll see how well it works.

Sprint 2 Drift Belts...
Hello, I have a Sprint 2 drift that eats rear belts like there's no tomorrow it appears to wear away the outer portion. I have been through the rear end every time the belt goes and have yet to have found any place that looks to be wearing the belt; nor have I found any debris in there. I've played with the little tension tabs on the drive shaft to no avail. Has anyone had a similar problem? Or does anyone have a suggestion? THX in Advance, Doc

RE: Glow plugs
I have a dynamite metered plug igniter. It's a sub c cell rechargeable. It takes apx 16hrs to charge it when it's dead. The meter on mine shows battery level. Yes it's normal for them to "bounce" when starting. Oh and on mine the meter doesnt deflect at all when charging. Only when I have it on a plug do I see the batt level.

RE: Discussion of tuning parts
ORIGINAL: MIDNIGHT_BG Can you give me links with that parts that you suggest me to put them on my Savage, because I want to see how much they cost and what models are they exactly? I didn't hear anything about which tires are the best choice for: Official Monster Trucks Rally because I want to race in the future. Doest somebody knows which wells are the better Mounted wheels or the normal wheels? Can you tell me the difference between them? Yours, Igor
Pro Line Bow ties are great tires for racing, or HPI Dirt Bonz. As for mounted or normal wheels, I'm not sure I follow. If it's in regards to purchasing pre mounted tire/wheel sets. I've only done that twice, both times I was happy. But if you're serious about racing I wouldn't buy pre-mounted rubber. That way you can put the right foam inserts in for your taste. If thats not what you were talking about, please clarify it for me And I'll do my best to answer.
