RE: Power failure
Joe K, I tried loctite when my top kept coming loose and it kept the top secured but the power problem was still there. I'm going to buy some new fuel with castor oil and 20-25% nitro and we'll see. //PD

RE: LMH 116 questions
Hey Gravity, I've started to make a new kind of crutch thats going to hold a .11 car engine. (why? see another thread). The material I use is G10 and to thin to use regular servo screws with. What I have done is attaching the servos with M3 (3 mm) screws and nuts. I removed the copper pipe in the rubber and the screws are a perfect fit. The servo sits even tighter than with original setup. //Peter

RE: Power failure
Well I've tried that to.. even to a point where the engine starts to blur because it gets to much fuel.... I've started to design a new crutch thats going to hold an 11 car engine.. guess I will have enough power then.. [:D]

RE: Power failure
Thanks Bret4 I was to quick to post on the forum, I inspected my glow plug today and when I looked closer at it I could see that the wire inside the plug was broken but it still made contact... haven't tried the new plug yet, but thats probably what caused this.. //Peter

Power failure
Spring is here in Sweden so its time to dust of the rotor [:D] But I got a power problem with my Norvel 6 engine... At first the engine started just fine after the winter and there was enough power to fly the heli. But after a while, say 20 sec. it started to loose power, ok maybe to lean... NO ! apparently the cylinderhead unscrewed its self [:@] Now that I got the head to not unscrew it self I still got the powerlost after 50 sec. It doesn't matter if I turn the needle or not, it only gets light on the skids... I have to let the engine cool down a bit to get the power back.. Have anyone else had this problem before ?? (does the bear take a dump in the woods [;)] ) Please help ! //Peter

RE: LMH 116 questions
Sounds like you had your share with your bird...[;)] I also had some problem with my tailrotor... I went with Matts raised belt driven tailrotor and I have never looked back. That beautiful piece makes it almost impossible to get ground contact with the tailrotor, it even works with Arlton gyro... Peter

Since it's your friend who is going to pay for the damage he caused... right [;)] replace it with matts subrotor made out of CF, I think you really have to work it the next time to wreck that part you can find it at ballistictechnology..

RE: 116 liftoff problem
I had the very same problem, at first when hovering everything was fine, good power and so on. But after a while the power droped. The thing was that I was running my engine to lean, just had to give it a notch or to on the needle to get the power back.

RE: Blade pitch
I guess you get a 4 degree pitch... I dont know if your supposed to use that configuration, maybe that gives you to much difference in pitch. Grips. 4-6=5, 4-4=4, 2-4=3 its an average. If one blade is 2 and the other one 4 then you will have a 3 degree pitch,.. hope this explain things... The blades... 110/116/117 uses 10" blade and LMH120 electric. uses 13". I think I've read some people have tried to put on 13" blade on the 117, but I don't remember the outcome. Maybe the combustion engines can't handle the torqe...

RE: Blade pitch
Banks04, it's like askman told you, if you have 6 dots on one side and 4 on the other.. you have a pitch at 5 degrees. I've read that most LMH120 flyers and 116 use 4 dots on both sides, or even 2 dots on one side. this to get more rpm and less floating in the heli. This is a sort of thing you have to try out and get the feel for, which configuration suits you the best. [;)]

RE: crutch
Your lucky if only the crutch broke... You can download a copy of the parts from my site here http://dot.dyn.ee/lmh Save the picture and print it out as A4 papersize. What you should consider before you build the crutch is if you want the crutch the same way, or if you want to mount everything on the otherside of the crutch. I've done this and have ALOT less grease from the muffler since it's out in the open, and you can attach a extension to it as well so it goes even further down. If you want to mount everything on the other side you have to build the crutch mirrored. This way you can still keep your canopy otherwise it wont fit anymore. Tip. cut out 2-3 pieces of every part at the same time while your at it. that way you can build a crutch in no time //Peter
