RE: Quickie Gauge inspection tool
I bet you miss me! Everyone likes the "easy" win. I was going to say "duck" but that's what others say when I race. I'm going to try to make some this year, Scout campouts, among other things seem to fall on those Sundays.

RE: What are used Norvels worth?
I guess if they aren't really worth $25.00 each, I might as well keep them....for something....Maybe control line? I can still see 30 feet away!

RE: Flex Point Hinges & 1/2A Planes
I remember trying to use those in my early years! I may have better luck now, but back then I made a mess everytime I used them. CA hinges for me.

What are used Norvels worth?
Thinking about getting rid of them, .061 w/throttle, .061 no throttle. I bought them with a "chrome" Simple P51, and I really have a hard time seeing it in the air. I need brighter colors, or bigger planes!

RE: Supertigre .40 Bull Ring worth keeping?
$100.00 shipped, so far an offer of $70.00 has been made. I'm going to hang out for a little more. RCU seems to be a nice place to sell stuff, unlike that "other" auction site!

RE: Supertigre .40 Bull Ring worth keeping?
Thanks guys, I was thinking it wouldn't be as strong as a TT .40 Pro, but I bet as a sport engine it would live longer than the current engines. I guess I might sell it now...

Supertigre .40 Bull Ring worth keeping?
I have a new one in the box, I've had it for years. I have two .45's, the six head bolt ones with the big S on the side, and I really love those. Is this a good one too? I'm thinking about getting rid of it, but not sure if I should keep it. I don't have a future plane for it. I normally have speed type planes, does this like RPM??? Thanks!

RE: micros.....
What experience in planes do you have? If you fly good, have 2.4 radio with expo/dual rates, the Sukhoi http://secure.hobbyzone.com/index/parkflyers_bnf/PKZU1080.html flies pretty good, we've flown it in some pretty good winds. The Champ seems to be a good choice, but less wind. The Mini Super Cub is also good, but a little bigger, and only $99.99

RE: End of the line?
I went to four LHS's this weekend (OK, Hobby Town really doesn't count!) but found no kits that really grabbed me, almost no kits at all. I did find some Herr Air Boss and Mini Sport kits, but passed on them figuring they were rudder only. I really didn't see any GWS planes either. Like I need anymore kits to sit on the shelf anyway! I did find a Webra Speedy .12 R.E. for around $90.00

RE: GM Killer Vee and Pilot Cobra Z kits
I've got the plans, this is a perfect kit, nothing opened in it. I'm not sure what to do with it yet. If it's that simple to copy, I may not mess with having it done. Looks like fuse sides, ribs, ect...

RE: GM Killer Vee and Pilot Cobra Z kits
I contacted a lazer cutter today and I'm thinking about having them copy the Killer Vee kit. Anyone intersted? I think all that is supplied is the curved stuff, no straight or spar type wood. I don't know much about this, so I'm not sure of all how much, he thinks around $35.00? But no plans.

RE: GM Killer Vee and Pilot Cobra Z kits
I noticed I already had a plane half started (or finished!) So I finished it. These will have to wait. Completed my Fun Thing, by Future Flight (1994?) Might do the Cobra later, not sure about the Vee yet. I guess I could listen to some bids on the other kits...

RE: Speed Secrets !!!
I just figured I'd stir ya up a little! But I am selling the Shoestring and the LR1, and some other planes, but keeping all the Q25 stuff. The conventional tailed Viper needs to make it to another race, now that I got the power up a little. Wait till April??? Really???

RE: Viper conventional tail
I'm going to try to be there! Cub Scout camping, I will be cutting it close. I also found more RPM, changed glow plug, and prop, I think the prop had something going on, even though it was balanced, I think it was causing some vibration, losing RPM and shaking bolts loose.

Viper landing gear mod
After finishing the Viper conventional tail version, I thought I'd work on the fuse with the busted landing gear. I've only broke one landing gear out, but that's enough! I used 1/4" ply and replaced the stock one. If only Great Planes would use some of our mods to make these better, or just offer a kit... Still need to finish the bottom sheeting.

RE: Merlin 2016 GloBee Style Plugs
Time to bring this one back to the top! Gary, what are you using now? I should have checked mine Sunday, it's been in there a while, and it is an OS #8 Maybe I'm leaving some RPM behind? Plus I have very old 10% fuel, I just don't get out to fly enough to burn it up, use about 9oz a month racing, not much practice or sport flying. I figure I need about 400 more RPM to be competitive... Well, for a few planes anyway, that won't catch you! See you next month?

RE: Viper conventional tail
Finally went ahead and put the gear in this one and flew it today. Only took me about a year to do it! Flew very good (to me anyhow) It would have been nice to get a "real" pilot's opinion though... There was not any wind, so it was great to be able to see if there were any problems without fighting it. Now the real test will be wind, and an actual race. It still carries a small amount of up elevator, I set everything at -0- Real happy so far, but the front wing bolts kept coming loose, never had that happen on this one before, or any of my other Vipers. Ready for the Q25 races Sunday, if I get back from Cub Scout camping soon enough!
