RE: Revell Proto Max/charging lipo
Mine hangs to the right as well. That being said I haven't had near as much difficulty controlling it as it sounds like you're experiencing. I guess I got lucky. Mine is actually fairly stable for the size.

RE: Revell Proto Max/charging lipo
I am by no means an expert. But I do like my T-Rex a lot. I was working on replacing the esc last night, did all of the soldering. Hopefully I'll get it all back together tonight. I built 2 nitro helis before that, but the T-Rex isn't that difficult to build. But look around in the forums and ask someone who is more experienced than me :) The model they have out now is a lot newer, and I'm sure improved. But like I said I do really like it, its pretty sturdy. But there may be something better out there, so ask around.

RE: Revell Proto Max/charging lipo
They replied back. At the bottom of the email it says you may not copy any or all of their reply and post it to a forum. In any case, they basically said they have seen this behavior in some batteries and the flashing light means the battery is fully charged. They also said if for some reason the battery is not woking properly to reply back with a copy of the receipt and they will send a new one. But mine seems to be working fine. So my question has been answered :) Joe

Well, I just emailed Revell, actually Hobbico: hobbyservices@hobbico.com. I went to the Revell website and thats the email address listed for RC support. We'll see what they say. Yes, it is an agile little heli! I haven't had it outside yet. Whenever I've had time to fly it, it was either to dark out, or too windy. But looking forward to flying it outside sometime soon. Joe

RE: Revell Proto Max/charging lipo
I "think" the extra batteries are just different (why,, I don't know). The light is solid when charging and then flashes when charged. I still haven't emailed or called Revell yet. Just been really busy at work and I don't have high speed internet at home. Plus I'm also working on installing a new ESC in my T-Rex. But like I said before, I don't like having to use the Tx to charge the lipo's. I wish you could charge them with a charger. It eats up the batteries in the Tx :(

RE: Revell Proto Max/charging lipo
Its weird. Both batteries charge, and work fine. I wonder if they might be different somehow?? The instructions say the green light is solid when charging and supposed to go out when charged. One battery the green light goes out, the other battery the light flashes when charged. I'm going to email Revell and ask them about it. I've been meaning to do that anyway,, just busy at work. Speaking of work,, back to it! :) Thanks! Joe

Revell Proto Max/charging lipo
Hi Folks, I just got a Revell Proto Max. Its a decent heli. I have one question though. When charging one of the lipos, the charge indicator light starts flashing. Anyone know what that means? The instructions just say, it should be solid green when charging and goes out when finished charging. Thats one feature I don't like about it. You have to charge the lipo using the TX. Thanks! Joe

Druss, Thanks! One thing though, sorry, I don't know what you mean to "balance the back". I have charged LiPo's through the discharge connecter before. I just wanted to make sure I still could. Ya never know, because they keep upgrading/changing the technology. I just like to always try to be safe with LiPo's :)

Adapter for E-Flite LiPo??
Hi, I just got a replacement battery for my E-Flite Blade CP. Now the newer batteries come with a different charging plug. It has like 5 wires as opposed to two. So I cannot charge it using my Triton charger. I emailed Horizon Hobby support, and they do not sell an adapter. They also said they do not recomend charging it through the discharge wires. I can't charge the battery, so its basically useless to me. Does anyone know of an adapter that I can buy? The battery product number is EFLB0996. If you want to see a picture of it click on this link: [link=http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLB0996]E-Flite 800mAh 11.1 V LiPo[/link] Any help, advice would be appreciated. Thanks! Joe

RE: Help on Lift-Off
Hi, I don't have a CX2, but I do have a Blade CP. That happened to me after I crashed. The problem was the main gear was not flush against the gear on the motor. The motor must have come loose a little and it moved a bit when I crashed. I "reseated" the motor so it was flush again against the main gear, and it was airborne again. So give that a look. Hope this helps!! Joe

RE: Blade CP CNC Main Gear/Help needed
Update on my problem, in case anyone is interested. The main gear is definately moulded to the main shaft. So I need a new main shaft also. I emailed microheli to see if the hardware comes with the main shaft to attach to the main gear (no hardware comes with the main gear). I'll post their reply here so hopefully it can help someone else out in the future. PS I ordered the stuff from Hobby Zone, but I figured I'd go right to the source, the people who make the parts. And they have a Help Desk :) Thanks! Joe

Blade CP CNC Main Gear/Help needed
Hi, I apologize if this has been discussed somewhere in these forums. I crashed my Blade CP last week, and broke a blade grip. So I decided to upgrade. I already added the cnc swash plate. So I just ordered cnc blade grips, fly bar assembly etc. I also got the CNC main gear with autorotation. My problem is, I can't figure out how to get the old main gear off the main shaft. It seems like its glued on. If anyone out there has upgraded their main gear, can ya help a brother out? I'd appreciate it. Thanks! Joe

RE: WHY ALL THE STUPID MUSIC??!?!!!
Its really up to the person making the video. If it has music and you don't like it, turn the sound down. If it doesn't have music and you like videos with music, pop in a cd in your pc. All in all, like I said its up to the person creating it,, along with how creative they feel. Some music that goes along with those videos are good, some music I can't stand. If its the latter, I just turn the sound down. I like them with music, I also like the videos without music. I guess I'm just easy to please [:D]

RE: 1/2A trainer anyone?
The T-Rex is really a nice Helicopter. And yes Bipe not cheap [&:] It was a dumb mistake on my part. I didn't read the directions on setting up the esc (which is different than most esc's). I was setting it up in my living room, and since I didn't set up the esc properly it started hovering, went to full throttle, and the TX really had no control over it. So I tried to catch it, the Rex dropped and the rotors went into the palm of my hand and sliced it open good. Very stupid on my part. I always emphisise safety first to other people, and that time I really "missed the boat". But since then I read ALL directions no matter how trivial they seem. Because in this hobby, there are NO directions that are trivial, believe me. I just added my story in hopes to save someone elses hand, no matter if its a plane or heli. Be careful! Anyway nuff about this, its a thread for your your excellent design on a 1/2 A trainer, so lets just continue with that :)

RE: RC Universe abreviations, terms and acronyms list
When refering to helicopters: It should be noted that the "CP" in BCP, stands for collective pitch. There is also FP, fixed pitch. There is also "CCPM" Cyclic Colllective Pitch Mixing, which can be done "mechanically" (mCCPM) or "electronicaly" (eCCPM). I had no idea how much this list had grown since the last time I looked!
