RE: Bungee launch a Habu 32?
I've bungee launched several planes. It shouldn't be a problem at all to bungee launch a Habu 32. I typically use a bungee tension 3 times the weight of the plane you are launching. I use a fish scale to get it right. Don't be afraid to double up the bungee to give you more pull with less distance. Make sure you make sure the area the hook is installed is reinforced. The hook should be just slightly forward of CG.

RE: landing a voodoo
My understanding is that spoilerons are better for minimizing tip stalls.

RE: Question for the guys about batteries in a scale fuse.
If you don't have overheating issues after four minutes then you will probably be fine after five or six minutes. The major concerns should be the weight and CG. If the weight isn't too much and you can achieve CG by positioning the battery rather than adjusting swashbuckling or adding tail weight then no problem. I had a trex 450 with an MD500 fuse on it and because it was tail heavy I used 3300mah batteries rather than the typical 2500's and could fly for up to seven minutes.

RE: Scale mod for my Belt CP
My recommendation is to not spend the time and money installing a scale fuse on those mechanics. Trust me I know. I started with Esky but now have a fleet of helicopters including a 500 size MD500D with a five bladed head. Scale fuselages are best installed on reliable mechanics because once you crash a scale heli you basically have to start over with a pod and boom. As far as a four bladed head, so long as you phase the head properly then you can fly without a 3-axis flybarless gyro.

RE: hirobo iroquois 60 help needed
Sounds like a great deal and a cool project but it probably won't be worth the time and effort to convert a scale nitro heli to electric unless you can find a purpose built nitro to electric conversion kit for the Hirobo. If Hirobo offers an electric version of their 60 size nitro then you may be better off buying the electric mechanics and re-installing in the scale fuse. Why not leave the nitro mechanics in and get her flying as is?

RE: BeastX Flybarless System and 5-Blade Main Rotor heads?
I have the Micro BeastX in my scale MD500D with a five bladed head. It works great. You have to program the phasing on the computer but once you have it dialed in no problems. I programmed and test flew my heli in pod and boom to make sure that it flew well before spending the time and money to install it into a scale fuselage. To make sure you have the correct phasing position one blade directly over the tail and adjust the electronic phasing until that blade no longer changes pitch when giving forward and backward cyclic inputs. I have the RC Aerodyne 500 size MD500D with Gaui Hurricane mechanics installed.

RE: Fox composites hawk Vs JTM Hawk
The larger Fox bird will probably have more scale options available. The JTM kits are relatively new and don't offer alot of scale upgrades yet but their kits are a work of art if you ask me. The paint and glasswork on my JTM L-39 and T-45 are the best I have seen in any ARF kit under $1000.

RE: ESM P47 Thunderbolt 120 size
Search for ESM P47 Build and you will find another thread with more activity. I have flown mine twice. I have a DLE-30 gas engine with an 18x10 prop and it has tons of power. Cruises around at 40% throttle.

RE: NEW DLE30!
I just purchased a new ESM P-47 from TBM and I was wondering if the DLE-30 would be a good match for the bird? Any feedback or recommendations would be appreciated.

RE: EDF Predator UCAV from Nitro Planes
Just purchased one of these kits and can't wait to get it in the air. Anyone else working on or flying one of these birds yet? I'd love to see some video. Anyone trying to put retracts on?
