ElectriFly Syncro (Flyin Hairdryer)
Tower sells a new EDF foamie with 2 wings (glider & sport) url is http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAUKR&P=ML This is the glider wing before the maiden. The yellow film is Coverite BlackBaron low temp for foamies, I just had to try it! The fan is in a pod above the wing and looks & sounds like a hairdryer. It can be hand launched or flown off supplied wheels. Since our "grass" in El Paso is crushed rock, it's wheels only for me! The nose wheel is FIXED, that means it veers left or right with no control on roll out. It flys fine once in the air. After the maiden I moded the nose wheel to caster using a tailwheel bracket. Will try THAT out tomorrow. If the rudder doesn't have enough authority with the fan blowing on it, I'll foam a servo into the belly in front of the AR7000 receiver. Since the fan motor is ABOVE the wing and ESC is below in the fuse, switching wings isn't as easy as the designer would like you to believe! What I'm do'in is mounting the ESC under the wing on 3/4" alum strap. I'll have motors an ESCs on both wings. Then switching only involves changing throttle & aileron leads at the receiver. (wing flipped over on the fuse) Faired into the canopy is an RD32 HD vidcam ($35 @ hobbyking). After all, a video makes crashing so much more interesting! Edited update 20 Jul. A free castering nose wheel works (just enough) on takeoff if you switch to high rates programed for max deflection, any crosswind taxiing after landing is NOT really possible. Remarkably this is the first model I've flown when I use HIGH RATES for takeoff and landing, then low rates for camera runs !.!. Oh, hard bounces on landing tend to pop the servos out of the wings. Then they don't effect the ailerons, not a good experience shooting touch an gos. Switching between glider and sport wings is still a pain, I programed glider and sport models in my DX7, Soo have to rebind Tx-Rx after the switch. Diffeent wings make different flyers, the sport wing moves the CG back alot, meaning smaller battery in the nose.

RE: Nitroplanes RQ11 Raven
That is the tail end of the tube. May be a photo distortion but the cuts look distorted. Don't see a big problem, be sure the surfaces are square when assembling.

Can WMM save more than 720x480?
I have been satisfied with WMM ver2.1.48xxx (P/O Xp SP3 ver 5.1) when my camera saved 720x480 AVI files. Now I have a camera (RD32) that saves 1280x720 AVIs. I have tried all the WMM save options but the best mine will save at is 720x480. How large can 7 Live maviemaker (LMM) save?

RE: Nitroplanes RQ11 Raven
Has anyone else. besides me broken the horizontal stabilizer (horz stab)? I broke it unpacking the shipping box! So I take a day to repair & re-enforce the leading edge (LE). Since I gotta recover, it will be a color I can see. My question is, How fragile is the vertical stabilizer? and Is there a source of replacement parts?
