RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.
Heyoo! [:D] So the story goes, I got a PM from someone on RCU a little while ago and something went *BING!* and I remembered TEC. hahaha Yeah the ole Evader is just chillin in my garage right now, hasn't been touched in almost a year. Finally got a nice job, about to be out of school in a few months and my desert life just keeps getting bigger. I had been wanting to sell my Evader for a while but now Im kinda wondering if I want to take it for a quick spin. lol If someone knows anyone who wants to buy, let them know (basically RTR with everything you need including batts, charger, spares and toe brace kit (racer), if not I may sit on it for a while longer. Im afraid that if I want to keep it then thats a few hundred that I won't be investing in my truck's suspension because I'll want to start upgrading the R/C and whatnot. hahaha So what all have I been missing out on in m absence? What's this EXT? lol
ORIGINAL: SpecialEd I tried to post this yesterday but RCU wasn't playing fair with me so....... Thundermanmike and I built a ramp with instructions we found at [link=http://www.bigsquidrc.com/projects/ramp.php]Big Squid R/C[/link] (see first pic). If you can find the rails fairly cheap it's not an expensive way to add a little fun to your bashing session (we only found them for $17 and when you need six of them...it added up). Anyhoo...I took a few still photos of Mikey jumping his Evader (MM5700 powerplant) off the ramp and I figured I'd share. There are no pics of me jumping my Vaders because I am not letting him handle my D50 while I'm flying trucks at him at 30MPH+[:@] FYI...yes, we broke some shiznit but it was fairly minor stuff (NOT my camera[:)]). The good thing is that having something like this at home gives you the opportunity to learn how to adjust your truck's/buggy's attitude in the air for when you're at the track and need to land the jumps well or get run over[:D]
The truck looks bitchen in all black! Did you paint up a clear body yourself?

I cant even remember the last time I was over here in TEC, or even RCU for that matter! lol Same old story for me as always. My 1:1 truck eats all of my money. And Im moderating another RC site so that eats my RC forum time. Thought I would drop by to see what was happening. I wonder if it was your method? How was your gearing? Perhaps Speed's spool will work out better. Anyone know how we could fashion some sort of Limited Slip?

Yeah, the first post is too old to edit. We tried to do this about 6 or so months ago with no result. I guess we could contact a moderator about it. Comming up on the one year anniversary of TEC next month![X(][8D]

That looks pretty good. It'd be interesting to see what it looks like on the car. Status on the spool? A week or so maybe? I am very interested in it.

Oh and duneslider. I finally got around to getting new toe blocka and put the braces on there. Having a half stripped servo didnt let me test them out too much, but they are definitely studly.

Yeah, my main concern was the asphalt bashing. I guess I'll just have to put some more power down to slide it around right? hahaha And I never liked riding quads myself. Too awkward. I'll stick to my CRF250 [8D] Whats the price estimate on that spool?

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.
Im well aware of what a spool does and all that jazz, Im in the offroad industry. But I was wondering how it effects the Evader theoretically. I mean Increased traction in a straight line, blah blah blah. Would the turning radius still be reduced somewhat? And on asphalt, etc will we be blowing through our CVD's and dogbones? Or will the Vaders relative light weight be forgiving enough?

Im not the greatest e-bay searcher in the world..lol How well did the stock Tx perform for you raz, cheech, etc when you ran BL. Im not the richest guy in the world right now and Ill stick to my stock radio for a while. Upgrade list Brushless Alum Idler MG servo Possibly paddles and blades. Not sure yet. RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.
wow. Today was the first time i have run the truck in about 4 or so months. I forgot what it was like to run the damn thing...lol I got the toe braces on today with a bit of trial and error..lol Im out of it. I still need to get a MG servo though. The one in the car was nearly shot already and running a pack through it with some minor contact totally blew through what was left of the gears. I should upgrade everything to deans as well. I guess we'll see where my money gets alocated within the next few weeks. Im buying a rim and tire for my 1:1 truck (fullsize spare set-up in the bed, Ill post pics later. Cell bill. etc)
