RE: P-40E Warhawk - Advice
If you want it to look like this then glass it and paint it. This was painted with Latex and fuel proofed with automotive clearcoat flattened with an automotive flatting agent. Ed S

I use "MGS" epoxy available from Aircraft Spruce and Specialty and other suppliers. It comes with two hardeners, fast (app 1 Hour) slow (app 5 hours) hardeners can be mixed for a custom cure time. ED S

RE: Wing Tube Fastening
The picture shows a typical wing attachment method. The wing slides on to a tube going across the fuselage. The wing tube hole is clearly seen. The black pins locate the wing at the correct incidence. Two 10-24 button head socket screws screw into blind nuts and hold the wing tight against the fuselage sides. This wing is for a 100 mph plus Pylon Racer. Ed S

I do not know how the "Hiccup" happened, maybe the liquid lunch was to blame. Anyway, all white covering first, then the colour. Some of the colour very craftily covered up seams of the white! Bottom of the wings and tail, red and white chequer board, great big squares. Ed s

RE: Engine Test Stand
Universal, free standing, no need to clamp it to picnic tables or chairs. Throttle control is a long wire pushrod with a clevis at the engine end and an elastic band at the other wrapped around the pipe support, very simple. RE: Wanna make mold of this cowl, how?
Thanks,
How come you don't trim excess glass in the mold??
The molds were made from the plastic parts in the kit. The plastic had excess material around the edges. So I left it on when I made the molds. I knew then that I would have enough solid glass to ensure a fit at the joints. RE: Super Tigre .61 not drawing fuel, HELP ?
I totaly agree with Pylonracr. Before I put any engine in any airplane I set it up on a test stand. If it does not run properly on the test stand then the fault is in the engine. If it runs properly on the stand but not in the airplane then it is the airplane setup that is faulty. Simple is it not? RE: Glasing question
It is a finishing issue not a solely structural matter. With plastic coverings the range of colours is determined by what is available from the manufacturers. With paint, the range and effects of colours is determined by ones endless imagination. E.G "Shading/Blending," finishing around compound curves. Ed S

RE: How to adjust high and low speed needle valve on Evolution .46?
Assuming no crash damage, and the engine/tank position is correct. Screw the idle control all the way in. Now you know it is in the wrong position. There is only one way to turn it to correct it. Start the engine and set it at just below max rpm. Adjust the idle screw a turn at a time to set the idle speed. When it looks as if it is getting close adjust with lesser amounts. Ed S
