RE: Weatronics....considering a change .is it worth the investment?
ORIGINAL: rhklenke
Let me turn it around and ask you what the Futaba system can not do that you wished it did?
I have been using it for several years in a 12FG. I think the single most value add is the real-time logging system. Although not perfect, it allow you to check for RF quality, get alarms for voltage (Tx,RX) and quality of signal. Maybe the 18MZ can do some of that, not sure. I believe other system are catching-up, so its a matter of time.. Lets see what they do next. and yes, still waiting for the English voice file [:@]

Make it so that it will not allow the retracts to go up if the retract switch is in the 'up' position when turning the radio on.

keep the turbine at the right distance from the pipe. Move the white ducting forward to create more space around the turbine.

Thanks Steve
I sometime use an inverted chair. Put some foam on the two higher legs and they act as your finger. Otherwise, do a search here for the options were you hang the plane by the target CG.

RE: Pros and Cons using a ByPass in a turbine installation
I will think its harder to monitor for a wet start with a bypass. Its being claimed that a bypass will give you higher top end speed, but without it you get better low end thrust.

Troubleshooting ECU - Whats next?
Hello All, After the original simjet ECU malfunctioned for my 2300, I changed the ECU to a Xicoy AU-354. This is the old, long, rectangle box ECU. After many year of use, it now do not energize the glow plug during the start. It does sucessfully pass and detect if the glow plug connectivity is there. I soldered a new multiplex connector in case that was the issue. No suck luck. Is there anything else I can check before declaring it dead? Thanks

RE: First RC Jet suggestion
An exposed turbine is a good feature for a beginner, as it mitigates damage in case of wet starts. Not scale, but an PST Reaction is a great starter jet.
