Reaction ARF or a Rafale can also be considered.

RE: dragon flyers
My friend used Robart 635..Think he used the original plane struts.. If I were to do one, I would use the 635 with some of those trailing link struts (like Todd's) and BVM or Trim Aircraft wheels / brakes

RE: New project L-39
ORIGINAL: VF84sluggo I have done this mod, and the BVM folks strongly recommend it. This mod keeps the nose strut from compressing excessively on the takeoff roll, and solves a tendency to wing-rock when rolling on takeoff and landing.
Any opportunity of posting before and after photos of this mod? Mine is basically done and wondering if the new springs makes that much difference...

RE: Graupner Hotspot ,take off and landing distances from tarmac ???
I flew mine out of a 750ft one. However I will say you can do it down to almost half that for landing. For takeoff also, but you may have to go full power with brakes on to geta confortable margin..
ORIGINAL: InboundLZ Guys, I am trying to decide between this and a SM Baby ViperJet. The aircraft is for my son (12) and he is a very good pilot. We something fast but is not a total turd on landing. ViperJets are everywhere and I was thinking this would be a little different and you can't beat the price. What say you guys, go with the dragon or wait for the Baby viper?
I saw the Dragon at Jetpower. The red paint scheme is awesome. My friend has one and it lands like a trainer. I say go for it[:D]

Swing wing of Fei Bao F-14. I though the Fly Eagle one looked more sturdy. However the Fei Bao one was just a little better looking, not much.

Last few ones... Fei Bao Mirage 2000 (I though it was quite nice). I believe the one outside is the Aviation Design one. Another view of the Fly Eagle F-14. The Tomahawk Design Futura... (beauty is in the eye of the beholder[8D]) Lastly, the Graupner Epic Victory. Flew very well and quite fast.

RE: low end engine choise for L39
ORIGINAL: avicom Erbroens. that one you posted flies great! But JL is way bigger than SM one and it's limited with the P-120. I mean It's fly scale but not enough verticals and get out of trouble situation. It flies better with 34 pounder engine. Ali is flying his SM version with P-120. He said its a rocket. My friend got his almost finish, a SM one and he is going to install a SJ 1200 or Super Eagle for power.
I think Avicom refers to mine. I wil fly it with a Simjet 2300 (24-25Lbs). I think it should be fine. The JL one really needs as much as you can get. Ideally, 34+ Lbs

Yes, under the rail for the turbine. Also the tailpipe I pushed just after the fuselgae body on the sides, so that some protection is needed to the area under the rudder. My builder finished it, but i'm traveling on business, so images will come when I come back in 2 weeks...
