Am I the only one who flies pattern with no mixes in their plane ??
I was just curious if there are more people out there that fly their planes through the sequence rather than using mixes. I know that it is kind of rare on my part, however I feel that it is more challenging and " fun " to fly the plane through the entire sequence than using a crutch such as mixes. I fly everything from Small electrics to Turbine Jets, and I can honestly say that I do not fly any mixes on my planes. Who's with me !!!! :) Happy Flying !!!!

RE: US JET WORLD MASTERS
Just a little Constructive Criticism....... I along with two friends traveled to the JWM last weekend. We arrived Saturday morning around 10, and left the site around 4. I have been in the hobby a long time and have traveled to many events over the years. I however would like to voice a couple items of disappointment..... While we were there we saw roughly 12 jets fly, and there were periods of 30 min or more that there was nothing in the air. While walking down vendor row, I did not see one general RC hobby store to purchase general related products ie : kits, motors, batteries, etc....... One of the main reasons I like coming to an event like this is the vendor row as well as the continual rc flying, none of witch were satisfied at this event. I was also informed that there was going to be a noon time show consisting of different models and helis. Well, I did see a P-47 fly but that was it........... I also was informed that there would be a jet line up on the runway that also did not happen........ I guess for as pumped up as I was about coming to the event, I left very disappointed. The jets we did get a chance to see were very nice though.

RE: lx f 16
I just finished my'n....... Almost ready for the test flight. Have any of you flown it with the armament on ???? I have a Turnagy Servo slower on the gear, and it works " knock on Wood " Flawlessly. I will be using a 5s 3000 mah battery, and a 2s 1000 mah batt for all servos. I do not believe in BEC's after loosing several planes due to faulty ones. I am looking forward to a fairly easy test flight, just curious how much air grabbing / trim veriances the under armermant may cause. I have flown a few turbines and EDF's with under armerment, and that can sometimes be fun.

BH F-16 70mm with VT ( HELP )
I almost have this thing ready to test fly, and just had a couple questions for someone who may have this model. 1.) Do you fly it with the armerment attached ? If so is there any noticeable air grabbing, or flight trim variances ? 2.) The flight vid. of the stock set-up on the website appears to be pretty respectable, do you agree ? 3.) I have an 8ch. rx in the plane, and would like to have the VT feature on a aux switch. How did you go about doing this with the supplied electronics, or did you master/slave everything through a mix ? " Pattern flyers make REALLY SMOOTH passes " [:D]

RE: Spektrum FAILS yet again!
I live in Cols Ohio, and fly at one of the largest fields in the U.S. I have been a die hard SPEKTRUM fan ever since their exsistance. I " knock on wood " have had no problems with their 2.4 radios, and or receivers. I have 9 planes on Spektrum now all wich have either the 6000, 6100, and 7000 receivers. I " to my own fault " experience a problem when they first came out with a rx batt getting too low, and locking out. I did hear that they had a not so very heart appeasing show at Joe Nall this year. I personally did watch a couple Futaba 2.4 users loose their planes at a few pattern meets I competed in a few years ago with the 14mz, total lockout. I am a little worried with Spektrum after hearing about Joe Nall, however I will still be a faithful customer until further notice.

Banana Hobby's F-18 C RTF 4-Sale
I have a 90 MM Banana Hobby's F-18 RTF for sale. I have less than 5 flights on this bird, have done some adjusting to the gear and have it tamed down pretty good. I have the fan balanced and the armorment attached. I was going to origionally paint the airframe, but after seeing it weathered from sanding I kind of liked the look. This plane is ready to fly with rx, minus motor battery. I have 600 + invested I would like to see $500.00 out of it. Please see pics below. I would like this to be a Cols. Ohio Pick-up or near by. Reason for Selling : Wanting great planes ARF.

ESC CAPACITOR QUESTION !!!!!!!!!
I have a Turnigy HV 100 Sentilion ESC, and it has been working flawlessly for almost 1.5 seasons, on a 10 S set-up. I did notice the other day that I did not have presence of "sparkage" when I went to plug in the last lead of the 10 S pack. Probably not the smartest thing I went ahead and flew it twice, and everything checked out ok as always the power was there, the endurance was there, and the temp after landing was 81 deg. F on a 70 deg. day. Well, after deciding to investigate further I noticed that both of the capicitors were missing from the ESC, gone, vanished, finitoed, vamoosed. :) The speed controller is working and functioning fine/perfect so I do not want to buy another, just replace the caps. Has anyone had experience in replacing capacitors on BEC's on this particular BEC? If so I would appreciate to know wich side of the board is + and wich side is -. Thanks,

RE: Banana hobbie's new f18
Finally Test Flew my F-18 yesterday. The two comments I have about it is that The landing gear mechanically suck, and the motor/fan unit was sevearly unbalanced.[:o] The servos on my'n actually work suffice. The landing gear is so sloppy that the takeoff roll is all over. I am flying a 5000 mah 5 S pack and a 1450 mah 4.8 v rx pack as well. 8 Min. flight was acheived with left over juice.

RE: Banana hobbie's new f18
OK. I WANT SOMEONE TO TRY AND DO A SLOW ROLL ACROSS THE FIELD WITHOUT RUDDERS? I OWN A LANDER PANTHER, AND IF I DID NOT HAVE A RUDDER ON IT I COULD NOT DO HESITATION 4 POINTS, AND SLOW ROLLS. WELL, I COULD BUT IT WOULD BE FOAM DUST. I ALSO FLY HELICOPTERS OWNING A BLADE 400 AND A BELT CP, I HAVE FLOWN EACH ABOUT 30+ TIMES, AND I HAVE YET TO PERFORM MAINTENANCE ON THEM, EXCEPT FOR EVERYDAY STUFF. NO HARD FEELING TOWARDS ANY OF THESE POSTS, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE WE ALL CAN AGREE THAT BANANA HOBBY'S SELLS ITEMS THAT THEY DO NOT SUPPORT. I DO NOT LIKE IT WHEN PEOPLE BLATENLY LIE TO ME, AND THAT IS WHAT THE GIRL FROM BANANA DID. NOT GOOD.......
