Well, now I'm not sure. I got it at B&B before the owner died. For some reason I remember it being Viton. Edwin

RE: Viton Rules!
I got a couple of rolls of gas tubing. The viton is used to get was transparent blue. Then it switched to yellow just like tygon. I wonder if I picked up the tygon by mistake. Edwin

RE: Viton Rules!
Matt, PM sent. What kind of temperature can it take? The small evo gassers use tank pressure. As most of us know gas mufflers get really hot and tygon and viton both melt when connected directly to a muffler. The standard work around for connecting smoke systems was to splice in about a 3 or 4" piece of rubber line. Edwin

RE: Viton Rules!
Where is your ad for this mtk tubing. I'd like to check it out. I'm starting to get into the smaller gas engines in the EVO line. In setting up the 15cc with a 8oz tank, there is not that much room for flexibility. I'd like to have some alternatives that are more flexible than viton. Edwin

Pete, I'm planning on using a 8oz tank. I usually set my timer for 10 minute flights with a little left over for reserve. Any idea how long 8oz will give me? Edwin

It IS a pretty cool looking glider though. I knew the germans had gliders for training, just didnt research it that much. Edwin

I pump up to 100psi and only use 4 or 5 cycles before recharging. How big is your tank? Number of cycles is a function of tank size and pressure. Edwin

I have the best luck with the spring-air fill valve. All my air systems, no matter the vendor, have spring-air as the fill valve. A flying buddy uses only standard schrader valves. Edwin

RE: Help me get into rc airplanes!
And your chance of buddy boxing is better if you use one of the standard radio brands. I couldnt help a new student earlier this year because he bought what amounted to a foamy motor glider toy with radio. The radio buddy connector didnt match anything standard. After I explained all that, never saw him again. Edwin

I built mine. Harbor Freight 8' trailer frame with a 10' box on it. It would be easy to do any number of variations on that. Tow car is a honda civic, trailer weighs less than 500lbs fully loaded ready to go flying. Edwin

Spare parts for Super Tigers are getting hard to get, lots of places have them back ordered. The carb retaining bolt has been out of stock almost a year. Frank Bowman will be as good if not better than original equipment. Edwin

RE: ZDZ Engines
I dont own one but a flying buddy uses them. He is pretty competent with engines using DA, Zenoah, ZDZ, and DLE (that I know of). But I'm not too impressed with what I've seen on his ZDZ's. They seem to take a lot of work. I havent seen him use them that much lately. His are in the 85cc to over 200cc range. Yet he still praises them so there must be something to them. Edwin

I'm told no, but common sense tells me yes. It may not remove the paint, but (just my opinion) it might stain it. I have future builds I'm going to use latex on and will be using warbird colors clear coat. Edwin
