RE: Lunchbox Build
Lunchboxes dont handle very well, if you put oil shocks on it I beileve the kit comes with those metal adaptors for the basic coil over shocks, leave those on there when you put the oil shocks on it. I noticed my handling was drastically improved when i added oil shocks to mine, so much it was harder to get it to wheelie.[;)]

RE: Need help comparing a few short course trucks
I have an SC10 and love it for Short Course racing. Until Tamiya makes one Im usually running the AE cars and trucks. I heard theres a truck in the works so a short course truck might be made after that.

RE: What's Your R/C Story
Raced a Rustler back in 2003 Raced a Traxxas Emaxx and Kyosho Twin Force in the monster Truck Class for 2 whole seasons. 2004-2005. Raced a Tamiya Dark Impact back in 2006. Bought a B44 in 2007 ran it for 3 whole seasons 2007-2010, probably the best r/c racing years of my life, did some oval racing in 2009 also. In 2011-Currently deciding on what R/C's I wanna race where at. I'll probably run stock Corr truck at Reo Raceway and Madisonville Hobbies. I'll probably run 4wd Corr at Reo Raceway and Golfland. 2wd buggy for sure at Golfland next season, because I want to brush up my skills. I think that about covers my R/C Racing up to now. I feel i have been racing for a long time and have no desire to quit.

RE: BestBuy sells Traxxas!
ORIGINAL: The_Shark pepboys still does. seriously traxxas, you don't have enough money yet? if only a a more race capable company did that, this would give people initiative to open new tracks, but traxxas is pure bash.
Yeah Traxxas stuff handles poor on a race track. Only thing good traxxas makes is thier Revo, or other monster truck. The slash and 4wd slash are piss poor examples of a race vechicle.

I chose HPI Firebolt motors being 15T they do have a bit of power. I bet it will go 25-30mph with Lipo. Right now with my nimh packs it might go 15-20MPH. For a heavy truck thats pretty fast.

Probably my SC10. Next would be my Tamiya 501x Worlds Edition and then my TA05.

RE: Clod buster question ECS and Motors
I got DUAL HPI FIREBOLT 15T motors in my Bullhead. My ESC can also handle it apparently. My ESC goes down to 5 turns for a single motor. After about 10 mins it's barley warm. I assume it will be faster than stock anyways.

RE: Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread
LRP makes some Wolf Lipo packs that are the same size as a shotgun style pack. Have been messing with my Bullhead, got the motors installed need to know which one is reversed rotation and which one is standard rotation. One of the motors run in reverse, I just dont know if it's the front motor or the rear.

Tamiya Bullhead rebuild and electronics install.
OK so im starting this project, I already have an esc that I can run dual motors with. A high torque servo and other bits and pieces. It's gonna be a nice project and hope to have pictures up in the next few days.[:D] I plan on doing a clean install and direct soldering the motors to the esc. ESC has a deans end on it already. The esc im using is a LRP quantum Competition 2. It handles motors down to 5 turns brushed, so it should handle dual motors fine. Radio im installing is a cheap radio that I have left over from my E-firestorm.

It's all gonna come back to me this year. I wont be getting $600 a week, but $1400 per month. I work in an office now so the work is more laidback.

RE: Dirt oval Tire Question
If your track is allowing offroad tires Id run those instead of foams. My local track is allowing any tire now. So that had me digging in my offroad tire stash. But another track is allowing 10.5 brushless class, while the other is completly open. So I might be getting a 10.5 that has adjustable timing now, turn that sucker up on the open class.[:D]

RE: UNOFFICAL Tamiya Blackfoot Thread
If it's an original blackfoot I wouldnt run the stock dogbones because they will strip themselves. Invest in some frog dogbones, but you will also need the Frog Diff cups and axles as well. You can start with stock unless you wanna run brushless in the truck.
