RE: Gyro Test Pilot
Well done! Can you give some specs? ...engine employed, rotor diameter, weight, ...? Keep the good work. Emilio

RE: amazing gyro....
Hi Fernando, I think you are right. The Rotorshape is a good electric trainer. It is important for a trainer autogyro to have a rather long fuselage, that is, the tail surfaces being away from the rotor disc (like the Rotorshape). The trainer you designed might be a good autogyro once the proper adjustments have been made but apparently it hasn´t got a long fuselage. Good luck, Emilio

RE: Video of my 2-blade pusher, teetering head gyro
Hi Charlie, The full scale aircraft you heard were coming in and out Cuatro Vientos Airport (where the early Cierva autogyros also flew) which is located 3 miles East of our flying field. Getafe Aerodrome still exists, it is an Air Force Base nowadays (located some 8 miles Southeast of the RC flying field). Emilio

RE: Video of my 2-blade pusher, teetering head gyro
Charlie, Jim, Thanks for your kind words and encouragement. Yes, the gyro is indeed stable with the teetering head. Perhaps the next step will be construction of a slightly enlarged model, suitable for a .46 engine. Emilio Cabezas

Charlie, Thanks for your kind note. If I ever get a good video, I´ll try to post it. Perhaps, in the near future, I will undertake the building of a slightly scaled-up version, suitable for a .46 engine. Emilio

RE: Electric pusher, teetering rotor
Hi Phil, Although the close up pictures are a bit blurred, I´m sure the model has direct control for pitch and roll, using two servos & radio mix. Apparently the horizontal stabilizer has no elevator. Emilio

Electric pusher, teetering rotor
Hi, Have you seen this? This guy has flown successfully a Bensen type electric pusher gyro fitted with a teetering rotor, using direct control (rotor tilt). No cyclic pitch, no flybar. The video was posted in rcgroups.com last November. Here´s the link: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=597182

RE: New Teetering Two-blade autogiro
Not difficult to spin up if hand launched. So far no takeoffs from the ground have been attempted. The model flies quite well, but is more "tricky" and difficult to see in the air than a DC Gyro type (conventional fuselage).
