RE: Any Gas Outboards???
Hi guys, Some of you may have already seen these pic's of my inboard f1 tunnel, but thought I would post up again and add some interest to this thread. I have been running this hull now for about 6weeks, and still testing setups and props. I changed to this hotpipe from Don Shanks and it works really well. I originally started with a voodoo 6717/3, which ran well, but got a couple of new props from Brent, at propworks. These two props from Brent worked exceptionally well, better than I expected. My inboard, as other inboards, is obviously not the traditional F1, but mine handles and runs just like the full size boys, its alittle hair raising at times. I would love to build another F1 with an outboard scale looking setup, but there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of geared scale looking drives out there. Yes, Wades unit is a beautiful piece of machinery, but to far out of my budget. I know of the 2brothers geared drive unit, again very nice and I've heard it goes very well, but cost comes into it again. I'm not really a fan of the other legs like lawless, Morty, Youngz and even the the new insane leg. I'm sure these legs go well, but for me .... well, just don't like them. I think Mhz also have a geared outdrive now, with clutch or no clutch, but haven't heard feedback on that anywhere yet. I would love to see more F1 hulls offered and more options for geared drive units, this class can only go from strength to strength. That being said, I think its comes down to many things, but mainly, if you are having fun building a F1 inboard / outboard or running F1 inboard /outboards, who cares what it is, or what catergory it should fit in. As La-tiff said, Inboard or outboard, doesn't matter, as long as it's a tunnel. Fun is the name and fun is the game!!!! I will hopefully try and get some vid of mine next club day to post up. Cheers Chris

RE: GAS F1 INBOARD TUNNEL HULLS
Mark Jordan hulls are very good and well built, and I am currently running one of them and another club member also has one too. We are both very happy with them and mine is getting better and better each time out. I have also found that I keep coming back to a 6717/3 prop, as its the best so far. Cheers Chris

RE: 46
Hey f1madness, Nice vid's of your boat, looks good. What props are you finding work the best for you ? I seem to be finding that 6717/3 works the best so far, but a dasboata 7015/2 works reasonable, alittle flighty at times, but not quite as good as the 6717/3. According to sources here, a 6518/4 is supposed to work well too, but I haven't tried that one yet. Cheers Chris

So lets see the lakes or area where you run your boats. Cheers
Hey Ghost, Kings point looks great in those pictures. Is there many boaters down your way in Ulladulla ? RE: GAS F1 INBOARD TUNNEL HULLS
Hi Guys, Seems this F1 inboard thread has died off abit lately, so time to resurrect it with some new pictures. I have just finished re-doing my F1 inboard and finished fitting new custom hotpipe to it, instead of the alloy WTC that I was going with in earlier posts. I have also added in some nacca ducts to the cowl, so I can get as much cool air in underneath as possible. A few minor adjustments and its ready to finally hit the water. Cheers Chris

RE: GAS OUTBOARD guys this is our new home
Hi Dom, unfortunately I don't have any spec's on this unit or know who or where they will be doing there testing. I have just really been in contact with another forum fanatic who was intouch with Arrrowshark and was informed of this units development. He has had a few emails from Arrowshark and Johhny stating that they want the outboard to be of good quality, reliable and that is why it won't be released until its fully tested and tried. I completely agree that it will most certainly add value to the f1 outboard fraternity and allow the scale minded modellers out there a chance to achieve a build that they may have been puting off due to lack of products or cost. I would certainly love to buy one if its of good quality and the internal gears stand up to the punishment that they will no doubt recieve. Fingers crossed it all works out. Cheers Chris

Hey guys, just thought I'd show these photo's of the new Arrowshark geared outboard leg due out in about 2-3mths. This could be a good thing if the quality and reliability is there and cost is very appealing to at $535 per unit, lower only. Cheers Chris
